This was a track I recorded by my band. Recording Drums/percussion in Autumn Road Studios. Everything else was recorded at home. Featured on the new EP 'Friends/Love/Drink' which got radio play and positive reviews from around the UK.

This track was recorded whilst we were tracking some new tunes for the new Album. We were recording acoustic guitars, and I thought it'd be nice to set up a vocal mic at the same time. This is an example of just setting up two mics and a live acoustic performance. One take, very little processing, just a natural performance.

Recording Kindest of Thieves was part of a new project me and my friend Craig had started. Where we would record the bands live and film them as well. So there's studio trickery, it's as raw as you get. 

This was a new experience for me, but with Kindest Of Thieves, it was really easy. They're one of the bands who really have their sound nailed and know how exactly how they want to sound. They're tight as they come which made the whole process easier. 

We set the band up so that they were quite far apart but still had eye contact with each other. The drum kit was set up at a slight angle to avoid bleeding onto other mics as much as we could. Everything you hear on the recording is live, even Chris' vocals are! We set up a headphone for each member but they decided not to use them. It still baffles me how Chris could sing that well without hearing himself. 

We did 3 tracks in about 6 hours, which included setting up as well. There are more videos available to hear. If you get the chance, seriously check this band out. Nice lads and great music!

I'm a music producer/engineer/songwriter based in Wrexham. 

At the age of 16, I decided I wanted to go into songwriting and enjoyed the recording side of things. The thought of building a song up from a simple melody or chord sequence really intrigued me.

I studied a BTEC National Diploma in Music Technology at Yale College, Wrexham. I received a Distinction for this and went onto study Music Production BA Hons at Leeds College of Music. During this three year course, I obtained a second class degree and learned about songwriting and the recording process to a high degree and also started to produce my 'Thumb print' sound. 

Throughout this time, I was playing gigs as a solo artist and also with my band JKLMNO. During this time, we spent time in the studio and learned alot from other producers we were working with. This lead to me working alongside bands individually in Autumn Road Studios. 

I have also done work in songwriting for Film/TV/Bands/Singers/Games as well as Audio Editing for projects such as voiceovers!
