My Choir piece that that sets this text takes you up into weightless space, and portrays the Majestic Earth as it sits in the vast cosmos. Gravity then pulls us back to where we call home.

My humble thanks to the magnificent Brand New Orchestra and Conductor Carlos Agreda for pulling this performance together with such awesome style and precision.

I wrote this piece shortly after a night in the 2014 summer thunderstorms, and experiencing a lightning strike on my house with the windows open, fusing all the lights and throwing me and my brother from our seats! 

This piece expresses that feeling of a brewing thunder storm, progressing along delicate spearhead melodies, prompting long range consequences, and eventually culminating in huge crashes of lightening. This then passes, the clouds part, and the music concludes with a new and cathartic brightness.
