"Daniel Tolbert is known amongst artistic circles as Mr. Talented
or Danny B.A.R.Z.. After teasing the musical community with singles, and theatrical on stage performances with other artists from Reflective Music. He is releasing his first solo project, Danny BARZ, the EP, on March 17, 2017. The project is a six track journey around the world. Songs such as “Shaka Zulu” transport listeners to parts of Africa while the mathematcally inspired song “Say Nerd” takes his audience to school in Australia. Instrumentals that support intelligent lyrics bring tribal drum circles into 2017. Each song is Infused with vast cultural heritage that can teaches and entertains.

A proud representative of his ancestors, Mr. Talented, can often be seen with his wooden staff decorated with tokens of family members and individuals he has met in his 28 years of life. Daniel, an individual from a long line of activists and educators, continues his family legacy of shaping intellectual realms and physical environments. It should be of no shock to his listeners that he sources inspiration from Marcus Garvey, Rakim, and KRS-One, all cerebral HipHop cultural icons.

“Djembe”, the single from the EP, is an auditory synopsis outlining the projects lesson plan direct from the lab. Musical audiences, be prepared to be invigorated by potent lyrics and formidable instrumentals. A listening to The Danny BARZ EP in its entirety will assure that new fans of Mr. Talented never forget that Daniel Tolbert is a warrior and a king."
