Having co-founded the Edinburgh collective and party series Palidrone in 2018, Dansa has helped bring the likes of DJ Stringray, SPFDJ, DMX Krew, Giant Swan and Errorsmith to the capital, and showcases the freshest cuts in energetic and genre-bending club music as resident on EHFM.

This mix sees Dansa dive head first into rushing, tension-building main room energy, and begins plotting the future of his sound as DJ, producer and soon-to-be label owner as we make our return to the dancefloor.

Edinburgh-based DJ and producer Dansa has built a reputation as one of the city’s foremost purveyors of razor-sharp electronic music, from genre-bending techno to UK bass, breaks and experimental club. He is the founder of Edinburgh party/label Palidrone and club booker at Sneaky Pete’s.

Dansa released his debut EP “Kill The Body And The Head Will Die” in 2023 with tracks from the release receiving widespread support and plays across NTS Radio, Rinse FM and BBC Radio 1. He was later enlisted by esteemed Scottish label LUCKYME® to remix Lunice’s “No Commas (ft. Cali Carter)” and featured on Glasgow label Redstone Press' "Feeling Everything, All At Once" compilation. His productions so far have been tipped by Jamie xx, TSVI, Om Unit, Manni Dee, Raji Rags, Solid Blake, Ehua and more.

In the last year Dansa has made his European club debut and featured on radio and livestream slots for Keep Hush, Rinse France and Linea Milano – where his set was picked as RA’s Mix of The Day — and remains a longtime resident of Edinburgh community radio EHFM.

Sneaky Pete's Heaters Takeover: Palidrone - 4th May 2019

Increased time inside means an increase in the number of DRIFT mixes coming your way. Episode 17 comes from Edinburgh based DJ, Dansa. As part of the Palidrone collective, he has helped to bring some outstanding guests to Edinburgh over the last few years with some of the biggest names in the scene playing for them. Most recently, they brought electro legend DJ Stingray to the Mash House alongside firm favourite Solid Blake! As part of Artiisan, I was buzzing to be asked to play on the bar in support of this event so it only seemed right to get Dan on the series!

Throughout this hour, he delves deep into the outer reaches of electronic music bringing some truly unique and wonderful sounds. Deep, experimental tracks flow into each other seamlessly with sparse yet effective breaks, bleeps and percussion keeping the mix constantly exciting. Eerie melodies and futuristic vocals are woven into many of the songs and transport the listener to a different plane of existence. A brilliantly original and unique take on the drift idea!
