"Here's the opening salvo for the "Where Were You" party, a fundraiser to support the filming of the documentary 'I Was There' chronicling & honouring a true original, the mighty Ron Hardy. I rarely share live sets as I always feel they were meant to be experienced in the moment, & without the crowd there is no context aside from me playing some tunes. But exceptions are made because this is a great project & I really want to support it as much as I can. I tried to honour Ron & imagine the sounds+feeling he'd bring into the room if he was still with us, while still doing something true to me. I'm glad I was opening, as warm up sets are my favs to do in general, but more so is the fact I'm still trying to find the energy for things, particularly in dance spaces. So this was really a warm up for myself. Hope it warms you up too." - moe.
