I wrote this tune when I was fifteen years old to Jan Novick's lyrics, which make less sense to me now. 

I used to sing this one to my kids, and I hope they have pleasant memories when they hear it

This instrumental has more of a "traditional jazz" feel, and I thought my father, Jack (Jacob) Savage would enjoy it. 

I used to call it "Danny's Blues" but after Jack passed a few years ago, I decided to call it Jacob's Blues.

This is a sketch of the main and bridge sections.

Just your typical classical piano chords over a synth bass and hiphop beat. 
I wanted to finish this version in one hour, so I apologize for the sloppy piano solo. I did it Frank Sinatra style, but I guess I don't play like Frank sings ;)

Dan has been composing music since he was 10 years old. His last project was Track44, a blues/funk band. Before that, Dan was the first keyboard player in Bees Deluxe and the ill fated and aptly named HardTime.

On this page, Dan posts embryonic demos, "works in progress." Your feedback is welcome, but please remember these are demos produced in garageband, so many parts will not sound "right". 

And Dan's voice is an acquired taste, like bourbon. In fact, the more whiskey you consume, the better he sounds.
