Noreen Heard talks about her fascinating career as a flautist beginning in the 1940s, spanning the war years, and life in general. 

Noreen was the first female Flautist to study as a junior exhibitioner at the Royal College of Music, London, and played in Orchestras such as the London Symphony Orchestra and Royal Opera House Orchestra, Covent Garden, playing in the inaugural concert when Covent Garden reopened after WWII.
