I had a dream that Birmingham's one and only Low Steppa and dark bass trendsetter Taiki Nulight teamed up to collaborate on some music, it was glorious. When I woke up I thought, "This could never happen." As I checked my email that day there was not one but two songs by the innovative British producers. It's a Night Bass miracle! The two songs are a perfect union of both producers' styles. "Nu Jam" is a dark and bouncy roller with a big fat sub guiding the way, while "Nose Powder" takes us to a fist pump level of energy around a minimal but undeniably banging bassline. Chief is proud to present a new big EP by a member of the Chief family. James Dax is back with two massive original tracks! Remix duties are by none other than Chris Stussy, Danny Woof and Prune Flat.
The first track by the Romanian producer is called “The Dream”, a heavy tech-house track with a strong bassline and acid elements. Chris Stussy gave the track his sweet signature twist. His remix has a funky groove, deep stabs and a solid bassline. The remix by Danny Woof is rather heavy with an old school vibe. Stomping kick, vintage stabs and a dose of acid are the ingredients to this great remix. Prune Flat delivered the final remix, adding some tech house flavor.
The final track is an original version called “Red Label”. This track has an awesome sub bass which makes every dancefloor groove. Great drums, subtle vocal and no lack of cowbell either.
