13th Hour Records presents its debut EP: a four track V/A celebrating both the pulse of the late-night dancefloor and the starry-eyed ride home. Two tracks from Subjoi forge the A-side, the vibrant yet moody “Make Me” taking the A1 slot and spacy, hi-hat bonanza “Doin’ Fine” at A2. And influenced by the bass-heavy vibrato of 70s funk, Ricky Razu kicks off the B-side with the infinitely groovable “Reaching Out,” followed by the sultry cut “Moonlight Jam” to close out the album.

Featured on this VA compilation is, DJ Streaks with his track ‘Gettin’ Mashed!’ a classic house track with an uptempo vibe. Opening up with classic house chord progressions and a trippy vocal sample the track gets going when the 4 to the floor percussion and funky bassline kicks in, making it a great track for classic house sets.

"This latest EP from London's DJ Button Moon kicks off on a moody note, as suspenseful strings hang in the air on the title track. Big, saturated analog drums are the order of the day, as they crunch their way into an emotionally driven hook.

Tracks two and three are twins by name, but not by nature. "Trust In Man, He Will Fail You" delivers blistering techno kicks, supported by a winding melody and fizzling percussion. Meanwhile "Trust In The Lord, He Will Heal You" is an exalted exploration of filtered, sample heavy piano house.

Button Moon shows three somewhat different sides of the stylistic coin across the EP, but all the tracks are underpinned by the same emotional drive, informed by the philosophy that music is best made intuitively, without over-complication."
