American Layton Giordani makes his 2nd participating on Yellow Recordings. This time with an own quality original. Dark and filled with clever creative details. We are very proud to release this special track on Yellow Recordings. Another comeback is Bodyscrub, back on our label, this time he brought the super producer Pascal Nuzzo. This is some italian qualty techno at its best, really cool industrial remix. The third remix is done by Andy Notalez, here's a bit lighter track compared to his previous tracks, but still dark and powerful. Three amazing tunes that for sure will be played by alot of techno lovers out there!

<p>New York&#8217;s Layton Giordani is clearly at the forefront of the scene right now with his inimitable take on today&#8217;s Techno, showcased perfectly on this four-tracker.</p>

<p>&#8220;Lost Feeling&#8221; kicks things off with a frantic, acidic riff and metallic atmospherics set the tone in order to move on to &#8220;Episode Of 1992&#8221;, where the locomotive rhythm section provides the ideal backdrop for lush chords and a rumbling bassline. On &#8220;Cloud N9&#8221; we are treated to bubbling subs, haunting synths and a one-note percussive lead, which all come together to create a dense vibe. Closing up is &#8220;Keep On&#8221; and its very cheeky vocal sample, featuring looped electronics and a more subliminal approach to the programming.</p>

As the dust finally begins to settle after the release of Pan-Pot's massive album 'The Other', it's time to unleash a collection of heavy hitting reworks from the best and brightest stars of todays techno elite. Through careful consideration and an acute attention to detail, we couldn't be more elated to confirm ten artists we know and love to contribute their unique vision to Second State's first ever remix package.

Kicking things off with a heavily twisted alteration of 'Attention' is Nicole Moudaber and it's a tangled, dark trek through dense acoustic layers of audible madness. Next up is the Hamburg duo

Extrawelt with their twist on 'Optimistic Grey' and they deliver a beautiful blend of emotion and groove they are synonymous for.

Following suit is another passionately romantic number from man of the hour, Stephan Bodzin, and his take feels like floating through a sea of clouds, resulting in a timeless classic to be a focal point in any set for years to come.

Next in line is Ray Kajioka's take on '808 Nirvana' and it's a cosmic ride, ripe with swirling atmospherics laid over big churning drums and rolling cymbals.

Following up on the second 12“ of this LP is a man who needs no introduction: Carl Cox. And in true Coxy fashion he turns 'Riot' into just that: a big room, tension building monster!

Broken Engine' is the next track to get worked over and Wigbert delivers a stunning mix of shimmering tones and growling bass resulting in a lush venture through a cosmic backdrop of flickering stars in deep space.

Joseph Capriati ensues with his vision of 'Fugitives' and he brilliantly keeps the vibe of the original yet adds his trademark big room flair to take it to another level of driving euphoria.

Enlisting the talents of Alan Fitzpatrick to remix one of the slower listening tracks on the album turned out to be magic. With his signature percussion, Fitzpatrick takes the parts and creates a dive deep into sultry smooth waters of seduction.

The first of our last two remixes, which are digital exclusives, come from Paul Ritch and he delivers a grinding rendition of 'Riot', expertly crafted for the more euphoric peak time occasions.

Last and certainly not least is a man on the rise, Kevin Knapp with his twist on his own collaboration with Pan-Pot: 'Get In'. An expertly crafted tech house jam exploding with energy and attitude perfect for any moment, day or night, indoors or out.

No matter the time or place, there is something here for everyone and we are truly fulfilled and honored to present this package of cutting edge artists to celebrate this landmark moment. We know you will enjoy!

Figure 86 finds the label‘s headmaster revisiting a dormant classic from 2005, delivering two extended excursions that pick up on the lunatic vibe instilled by the original while each mix provides for a uniquely new experience.

Sitting on the record‘s A-side is the Hardspace Mix, a sparse and bone dry rhythmic affair, built around the originals characteristic cut-up vocal sample. A hammering thump carries along the track relentlessly, the air of oppression created only amplified by a heavy assault of clangig claps. The digital bundle comes with an even more stripped-back Hardspace Tool version, making it an excellent surprise to throw in and out of mixes.

On the flip Faki takes opportunity to show us one of his lesser known sides, taking time to gently develop this Deepspace Mix into a meandering meditative journey. Trading in the vocal for a spaced-out synth opens the track up for the shifting tribal drums to truly work their magic and makes this piece of music feel equally mysterious as it sways with cosmic energy.

We are happy to tell you that our next release will be a compilation with five tracks from excellent artists on board with the perfect name 'The Variety Of The Mind'. For this first V.A. release we could win no one less than Piemont, fran&co, Hermanez, Matchy & Bott and Andlee & Kollektiv KlangGut.
With track number one of our compilation, 'Alive', Piemont deliver a tech house bomb just as ex-pected. The two guys create a fantastic build-up and let it explode afterwards. Everything is accom-panied by groovy arp sequences and flying vocal pieces.
When the bassline of 'Shah Parvaz' by fran&co comes in, it just makes you get up and dance. Short-ly after an intense break with hypnotic vocals comes in and creates tension. A captivating synth se-quence accompanies the track and finally oriental flute sounds come in, turning this piece into some-thing really unique.
'Mutation' by Hermanez gives us different percussive sounds swirling around the room. Additional-ly, a shuffling 16th beat and modulating synth sounds make this wonderfully spacy track sound very alive and energetic.
Matchy & Bott bring in the 'Luvvibe', starting with a forward-driven bassline, powerful snares, claps and shakers. A short female vocal sequence with a lot of space marks the central element of this beautiful melancholic composition.
The track name 'So Strong' is right on the spot for the contribution of Andlee & Kollektiv KlangGut. A bass which is housy and dark at the same time and a hypnotic vocal turn this music piece into a real dance floor killer. Forward-pushing hi-hats coming in in the middle making it even more driving and ravy.

Another Mind debuts on Mirror Records with their newest EP "A New Liar". The four-track Melodic House & Techno EP features stirring melodies, atmospheric textures and groovy vibes. The first track "A New Liar" delivers a steady buildup throughout the track. With a driving bassline and mystical sounds "A New Liar" features elements that will delight any listener. The remix by Marc DePulse delivers a more melodic twist - melancholic strings merge into playful melodies and end in a rousing musical firework sure to lift the listener onto other realms. The flipside of the EP features "Morphine", this track will have the listeners longing for more. The driving percussions, nagging pads and a groovy bassline, make it impossible to hold still and will create magical moments on the dancefloor. With the remix of "Morphine " Mirror labelhead Lycos make his first appearance on the label. He took the track onto a more straight forward path while saving its minimal sound. The driving percussions and groovy harmonies make it a perfect fit for any occasion.

PREMIERE: Another Mind - A New Liar [Mirror Records]

Having released under the aliases of Motion Unit and D-Saw. Produced together with and for, Oliver Huntemann and worked on remixes for the likes of the Chemical Brothers, Underworld and Extrawelt, january  2009 saw Andre release his first solo single on Ideal. 'Trauma' was an instant success and after a break to produce Oliver's third studio album, Andre returned with his track 'Helene' on Terence Fixmer's From Jupiter label and 'Dogma' with us again at ideal.   Hatzler is a name to watch. Having produced early productions for labels including Confused and Spiel-Zeug and released as part of Motion Unit, he took a break for many years to concentrate on musical genres other than techno. Working as a sound-designer, production developer and soundtrack composer, it was this break and building a studio that gave him a fresh outlook and ideas for when he returned to his own productions.   Today's release opens with the title track and 'Gallopper' goes off at more of a groovy trot. A fat kick drum and menacing bassline coupled with a cheeky vocal stab lead the way as a warped key melody enters, a a tightly coiled breakdown then drops back to the killer groove.   Next up we board the 'Train To Tsavo', and our dark ride takes off at a good pace. As our techno runaway settles into its groove its trippy, steel-drum-like melody twists and turns throughout, but never want to get off this ride.
