Afternoon, I crawl out of bed/
Wish I was dead, just a fish on the shoreline gasping for breath/
The past that I dread keeps passing my head/
Follow paths that I've bled with this wrath in my stead/
Got a bible and thread for the sins of my wounds/
I'm entombed in this mess/
Fallen far past the morning star/
All my mourning parts are adorned with scars/
Relinquished wings from my shoulder blades/
Old and frayed, arms too weakened to hold and pray/
Hell's no home, demons chose to stay/
Selling broken hearts that they mould with clay/
Coded hymns for a pseudonym/
To the brim with these pilgrim saints/
