So this was part of my orchestration coursework. I arranged the title song from Legally Blonde the Musical for Flute, Alto Sax, Clarinet (doubling Tenor Sax), Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, Timpani, Violin, Viola and Cello. Some very pretty harmonies and stuff in this song. Can't really hear the vocal part because of the poor mixing Sibelius does, but it's the instruments that are more important anyway.

Legally Blonde

A piece I wrote for wind quartet. This is a live recording from a concert, so there are a few dodgy areas, but the piece has been recorded in studio and will replace this piece ASAP :)

I'm gonna extend this piece even more, possibly make an entire suite out of it.

Windtanzen - Live Recording (Nov '11)

A piece originally for double sax quartet, now for a clarinet, 3 alto saxophones, 2 tenor saxes, 1 bari sax and a bass clarinet. Mostly inspired by minimalism/post-minimalism, with Reich's Music for 18 Musicians being the biggest influence. 

Apologies for the Sibelius sounds, going to get a real recording soon enough!

Something I'm working on. Experimenting with free time and the space on the piano as well as the use of silence, though this little recording doesn't quite do it justice. Kind of neo-impressionist/minimalist

(Best to listen to with headphones - it's a little quiet.)

Nocturne

My entry to the David Lovatt competition held at the University of Surrey performed by the Ligeti Quartet.

Lots of (read: too many) influences in this piece, mostly Ligeti, Britten, Bartok, Stravinsky and Ravel. Based around a simple concept of different timbres (light and heavy, hence the title) that the quartet can produce.
