A key figure of the late 2010's newly emerging "Future Baile" scene, producer and DJ YBRYD aka Yuri Pontes helped to innovate much of what we define as the global fusion genre's current sound: a combination of Afro-Brazilian rhythms & vocals with elements of Trap and Electronic music.

After a long year of hard work, I finally made it to 1k followers on soundcloud. It's not a lot, I know... and it's still the beginning. But it means a lot to me, so I decided to put out this EP to celebrate it.

This EP represents an important period of my life and also portraits part of my growth and discovery as an artist.

After having the chance to live in the US for a year, where I was first exposed to Jersey Club music (an experience that blew my mind), I was decided to hybridize the genre with baile funk.

Inspired by the music and lifestyle in Jersey and New York, the landscapes, the weather, and mainly by the people that I've met in my journey.

This EP is dedicated to SupercoolDes, Ras Diggy, Golden Kong, Dwai, Luny, Jean Sean, Thunderstone Labs, Maya, Vermilion Bird, Jay Cass Jomero, Joe Pa, Boston, Miles, Julia, Victor, Carlos and my mom.

Douglas Abner aka D.A.N.V, DJ and Beatmaker from the north of Belo Horizonte started taking his first steps as a DJ in 2012 and delved into the world of beat production in 2016, bringing Hip Hop, Afro Culture in his sets and beats and Funk BR wherever it goes. D.A.N.V is one of the precursors of the Baile Room party that aims to bring new sounds to the public and giving opportunities to new artists (photographers and DJ's)), his research consists of the music genres Afrobeats, Trap, Hip Hop, Brazilian Funk, Bass music and others.
