Emerald Forest (Slurm Remix - PREVIEW 192KPS)

Next up is Steve Bug’s epic Chordwalk Empire, which gets three new treatments as a part of the remix competition to celebrate the label's 20 years.

Like the other two releases carefully handpicked by the artist of the orginal track from hundreds of entries, the standard remains incredibly high and each track is more than worthy of this official release.

The first remix comes from Theobald Ringer - a techno producer from Brest in northern France. His deep rework is a heavy hitter - full of energy and drive, yet maintaining a sense of melancholy and emotion that shine through.

Facundo Sosa is behind the 2nd remix here. The producer from Buenos Aires, Argentina takes things yet deeper with a classy, slick version that adds a spacy, cosmic layer to the track.

Finally, Esteban Howell shares his El Bicho Remix, representing the underground electronic scene of Central America. Howell provides a rework featuring a thick, rolling bassline, and crisp percussion to support the shimmering synths - while also adding a welcome balearic house feel.

After learning his trade playing warm up and shared scenarios with Jamie Jones, Steve Bug, Damian Lazarus, Maceo Plex, Seth Troxler, Claptone, Ben Klock and many others, learning a deep understanding of the functional aspects of electronic music and the soul that lives with those aspects is clear to see on 'Rebirth' which weaves elements of house and down right groovy techno together, allowing the productions to breath and fleet through a variety of emotions, whilst always delivering a fresh and dynamic sound,

The title of the LP 'Rebirth' isnt just a catchy title but a heartfelt expression of true intent, within the album we find the music adapting and morphing to the circumstances, be it club, festival, warm ups, villas, house parties, all different kinds of energies, vibes and feelings caught wonderfully by Slurm.

Danzon Records is a home grown and based Record Label in Guatemala City where major musical catharsis is happening caused by the insurgency of its local DJ's/Producers and collective groups that have boosted this House global revival movement that started in all different scenes in major cities and now it has gone global putting everyone around the world in a map that has no more borders in regards music.
A young and fresh blood label that was born as part of the collective movement called Danzon Perez that started in 2010 (www.facebook.com/danzonperez).
