ਠਾਕੁਰ ਜੀਉ ਤੁਹਾਰੋ ਪਰਨਾ ॥
ttaakur jeeau tuhaaro paranaa ||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ! (ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ 
O my Dear Lord and Master, You alone are my Support.

ਮਾਨੁ ਮਹਤੁ ਤੁਮ੍ਹਾਰੈ ਊਪਰਿ ਤੁਮ੍ਹਰੀ ਓਟ ਤੁਮ੍ਹਾਰੀ ਸਰਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਹੀ ਮਾਣ ਹੈ; ਫ਼ਖ਼ਰ ਹੈ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੀ ਹੀ ਓਟ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਹੀ ਸਰਨ ਆ ਪਿਆ ਹਾਂ ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
You are my Honor and Glory; I seek Your Support, and Your Sanctuary. ||1||Pause||

ਤੁਮ੍ਹਰੀ ਆਸ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਤੁਮ੍ਹਰਾ ਤੁਮਰਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਲੈ ਧਰਨਾ ॥
tum(h)ree aas bharosaa tum(h)raa tumaraa naam ridhai lai dharanaa ||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੀ ਹੀ ਆਸ ਹੈ, ਤੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਹੀ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਨਾਮ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ 
You are my Hope, and You are my Faith. I take Your Name and enshrine it within my heart.

ਤੁਮਰੋ ਬਲੁ ਤੁਮ ਸੰਗਿ ਸੁਹੇਲੇ ਜੋ ਜੋ ਕਹਹੁ ਸੋਈ ਸੋਈ ਕਰਨਾ ॥੧॥
tumaro bal tum sa(n)g suhele jo jo kahahu soiee soiee karanaa ||1||
ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਤਾਣ ਹੈ, ਤੇਰੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਮੈਂ ਸੁਖੀ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ । ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਤੂੰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਮੈਂ ਉਹੀ ਕੁਝ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ ।
You are my Power; associating with You, I am embellished and exalted. I do whatever You say. ||1||

ਤੁਮਰੀ ਦਇਆ ਮਇਆ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਵਉ ਹੋਹੁ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਤ ਭਉਜਲੁ ਤਰਨਾ ॥
tumaree dhiaa miaa sukh paavau hoh kirapaal ta bhaujal taranaa ||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਨਾਲ, ਤੇਰੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਸੁਖ ਮਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ । ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਹੋਵੇਂ, ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਸਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ । 
Through Your Kindness and Compassion, I find peace; when You are Merciful, I cross over the terrifying world-ocean.

ਅਭੈ ਦਾਨੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਓ ਸਿਰੁ ਡਾਰਿਓ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੰਤ ਚਰਨਾ ॥੨॥੯॥
abhai dhaan naam har paio sir ddaario naanak sa(n)t charanaa ||2||9||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ—ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਨਿਰਭੈਤਾ ਦਾ ਦਾਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ, ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਮੈਂ (ਗੁਰੂ ਪਾਸੋਂ) ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ (ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਿਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ।੨
Through the Name of the Lord, I obtain the gift of fearlessness; Nanak places his head on the feet of the Saints. ||2||9||
