'Sometimes' is exclusively made from sounds from piano strings and my own voice, that I have then distorted and altered in logic. It is based on a short poem I wrote about a childhood holiday location, Penrhos Caravan Site in North Wales. The poem goes like this:

Sometimes the simplest of things
Light up the darkening nights
Come winter we'll freeze in our nice warm beds
Under a blanket of rose petal lies.

Darkened Moments of Winter was written for the Christmas at Bute Park light trail in Cardiff in partnership with From the Fields. It is a lush a Capella vocal piece with a haunting quality designed to immerse the walker of the trail in a winter wonderland. Vocals, lyrics, song and mastering by Darcy Cole.
