Dar Disku invites Acid Arab for their 2nd anniversary on Noods Radio: happy to announce that our guest is none other than the homie Hervé from Acid Arab . We first met supporting them at their Bristol show  and we’ve been mates ever since. Even if dancing isn’t allowed these days, listening still is! Festivals are on hold, for obvious reasons and Acid Arab have put their bass drums on ice. They have recently worked on deconstructing their tracks and reshaping them from an ambient & dub viewpoint and are now turning these experiments into a proper show. Weaving a variety of otherworldly sounds with atmospheric, stripped down versions of tracks from their “Musique de France” and “Jdid” record. Entitled ‘Climats’ (a word which, in French, not only means ‘climate’ but also ‘atmosphere’), the show will be illustrated by projected live drawings made by Lebanese illustrator @raphaellemacaron . This original blend of live ambient performance, deejaying and instantly-created visuals makes for a uniquely enjoyable experience, a show perfectly suitable to the current context and conditions. Hervé has put together an hour mix of tracks and live machines from this record and we have also taken a slight variation from our HiNRG preset to put together an hour of dubby ambient chuggers!

As the second installment of the 12inch series on the German Eine Welt label, the two musicians Alexander Arpeggio and Nixxon who has previously worked and released music under the moniker “Ekstern”, tasted the wonderful Künefe cake for the first time on an autumn evening in Berlin. They got so excited about the sweet cheesy taste that they wrote a song about it. An up-tempo dance floor banger with a punchy bass line,  synthesizer melodies, and vocals describing the middle eastern flavors that had tickled their tongues. 
On the B-side you’ll find Op beni Künefe as the down-tempo track with Turkish inspired melodies on top of a steady drum machine beat. Istanbul artist Hilal Can interprets the concept with sensual vocals as the sweet syrup on top of the crunchy pastry. The whole process of making the record took its time, but now it’s ready to be served. And served hot!

Inspired by boredom and a record by a no wave band, Optimo were born 20 years ago. The duo spent every Sunday at Glasgow’s Sub Club the next 13 years. 'Well, I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad Optimo, but the worst one would be the Sunday night when the Sub Club burnt down, so there wasn’t an Optimo at all’, said JD Twitch once. His first show in Gravity was one of key experiences in Vilnius nightlife according to Manfredas, who later also invited JD Twitch together with JG Wilkes. 20 years on stage seems like a proper reason to do it again.

Sentuhlà is one of the many aliases of musical jack of all trades José Guerrero, a long standing figure in the already rich underground scene of Valencia. In this solo excursion he explores the vast possibilities of mechanical repetition, the machine funk of dirtbag rhythms and proper boogie DIY synth music, sculpting a syncopated sound that is both modern and atavistic. Coming from a deep knowledge and ability to communicate very diverse sounds, slow jams unfold into dance music for clear eyed lounge lizards for whom sleaze comes not dizzy but focused. Whitened african rhythms beat up no wave disco pleasure points, managing the hard task of being very cool and nonchalant, but also hot and dedicated.
This closed door nightclub music will appeal to fans of the new developments in dance music that put Cabaret Voltaire, impLOG or Orchestre Poly-Rythmo de Cotonou into XXI Century basements. The record comes also with a killer remix by Tolouse Low Trax, one of the best producers in modern rhythmic/non-rhythmic music.

Ana Helder is certainly one of the female DJs who first represented the sound and soul of South America in electronic music.
Since a while she lives between two continents and likes to sit on the fence: Argentinian breed Ana Helder is part of the global team Cómeme and as a producer, she has develop a steady, growing discography with a deep musicality and an open attitude to house music, amplifying the genre with discreet boogie, disco and funk particles.
Her DJ sets are dedicated to the rough riding way of dance music, where a loco kind of Jack is king and wily rhythms thrill your senses. When she is not touring around the globe, she dances with her South American peers in cities like her hometown Rosario, Buenos Aires, Brazil or Santiago de Chile.
In 2020´s may she has dropped “Landpark” a five new tunes EP on Müstique that if you listen you’ll wish acid never dies and a month later she debuts on Optimo Music Digital Danceforce with “Boleto 101” EP where Some psychedelic overdubs on a Minimoog fill the funky space.
