Amatic - I Do It

Coming out of west Philadelphia, Amatic is back with her own brand of rebellion, self-acceptance and radically original rap. This is an artist doing things her own way and making waves on the way.

Amatic began rapping as a coping strategy to deal wirh the cruelty that comes from others when you’re part of a marginalised group. But from these hardships great skills are forged and, in the heat and pressure of bullying, a special alchemy took place; Amatic emerged on the other side with a significant talent.

Taking influence from artists such as Eminem, Joyner Lucas, Da Brat and Kendrick Lamar, Amatic took an initially aggressive style and smoothed its sharp edges in to something that kept that early rawness but that now had a smooth sophistication to it. Known for her high pitched voice and fast paced tongue-twisting style, Amatic started to gain justified recognition; nominations in the Philly Hip Hop awards three years in a row, appearing on the awards twice and winning contests.


A break from music to focus on a stunning and inspiring weight loss journey was followed by having to deal with the death of a loved one. Now, after taking a breath, Amatic is ready to emerge, stronger and even more determined, with new ideas and exiting new music.
