As all our tracks, this EP tells a story and we tried more than ever to have the perfect balance between introspective, dreamlike emotions side and strong, punchy, club side”.

There is a real signature sound in this EP by the usage of airy synths/pads around  big synth lead/arp for each track. For the percussions, Mathieu and Alexandre Verrier add some field rec and foley sounds which give the originality to the drums. Finally, powerful breakdowns with broken beats in each track; “the breakdown is really important for us, this is where all the beauty of the track appears."

Welcome back Miyagi with his new single "Khan" featuring vocals by Haptic. The tune start's calm and reduced, sparkled with little synth bits before the unique and dark vocal by Haptic hit's in. Throughout the end the track opens up into a beautiful soundscape full of mesmerizing pads and effects. Darin Epsilon's take on "Khan" is more housy and functional with a warm synth hookline. Squire's remix is straight forward with a floating 16th arp line next to freaky modulated FX.

onedotsixtwo is delighted to welcome Australia’s Tristan Case back to the label for a solo EP, following on from his first excursion with us as one half of Case & Barlow, who joined us with ‘Dorse’ back in 2019 (ODST018). Tristan’s stunning original titled ‘Bubble Modulators’ is complimented by a fantastic Maximo Gambini & Q.A.T remix and our label boss, Tripswitch, turns in an epic breaks interpretation. 

Tristan’s star has been in ascendance since he first joined us back in 2019, and he now revisits us with a stunning piece entitled ‘Bubble Modulators’. Based in Sydney, Australia’s Tristan Case is a long time resident of one of Australia’s premier festivals, Return to Rio, and has recently been releasing on respected labels such as Do Not Sit and Sound Avenue, with the formers release hitting number one on the overall Beatport release chart. 

The original is an epic ride, with Tristan’s signature written all over it. Deep rolling bass, soaring keys and syncopated vocal cuts build, twist, and turn into an explosive breakdown, and out the other side to a thunderous finale. Argentina’s Maximo Gambini & Q.A.T make a welcome return to the label following their debut EP with us, Stochastic Process, in the summer of 2021, and give Bubble Modulators their unique treatment, taking the original and giving it a more subtle flowing feel while retaining its raw energy and the addition of a breakdown fit for the biggest of stages. Lastly, but certainly not least, our very own Tripswitch gives us a multi-layered atmospheric breaks remix, taking the deep progressive elements of the original and fusing them masterfully into a euphoric breaks crescendo.

As Tim Penner hit the Proton catalogues in March 2017 with new and vital work, "Lost Again", epitomised an artist very much at the peak of his powers. As Proton Music now returns to the EP, a pair of new remixes from Greece and the UAE provide rich entertainment.

An artist who has ridden a tidal wave of success, Simos Tagias, has produced a body of work that has seen him become a permanent fixture in the upper echelons of the underground dance scene. Venturing into the world of DJ'ing through private and underground parties in the 1990s, the Greek producer grew in stature over time with performances alongside Guy J, Moshic and Luis Junior elevating his reputation behind the decks at events including Bloque Festival and clubs such as Block33. 

With a debut for Lynx Records in late 2012, the Simos Tagias sound soon found itself a favourite among a host of impressive imprints. Thus, a triple century of production credits can now be found against the Greek producer's name as Stellar Fountain, Balkan Connection and Particles have become closely associated with his music, supported by Cattaneo, Warren and Cid Inc. January 2017's "Airlock" EP for Proton Music heralded an impressive debut EP while a pair of remixes are now complemented by a third. Remixing "Kharon", Simos Tagias' rhythmic flair is in full evidence as a bouncing bass groove fits effortlessly into an evolving percussive pattern of trademark dynamism. Full of brooding hypnotic prowess, intelligent use of Penner's original melodic components can be heard as a host of additional production creates a unique flow. Building with multi-layered pads and pulsating melodies in the third movement, Simos Tagias' work oozes class.

An award-winning DJ with multiple "Pioneer Middle East DJ of the Year" awards to his name, Subandrio is an artist with heavyweight credentials to his name. With parents who were touring musicians, Subandrio's future in the music industry was all but assured. A regular across the clubs and festivals of his Dubai homeland with blend of decks, samplers and effects, Subandrio's transition into the production arena has seen his work well appreciated by a plethora of renowned labels. 

A century of production credits thus find themselves allied to the Subandrio name as his work for the likes of Clinique, Juicebox and Suffused Music, tell their own story of an artist who continues to chart a triumphant path. An oft-contributor to Particles with a trio of remixes including a reworking of Andre Sobota, a pair of original tracks have featured on the "Fall 2017" and "Spring 2017" compilation series. A 2016 remix of Pete K marked a Proton Music debut as Subandrio now follows up with a scintillating rerub of "Lost Again". Taking the emotion and bass dominance of Penner's original, Subandrio has imbued his remix with a new rhythmic vitality and growling bass variant. Supplying a rich tapestry of additional material in subtle melodic phrasing, the vocal line, so integral to the original, makes its presence felt in a stripped back breakdown. Hitting its zenith in a rousing second half, Subandrio's technique is in full evidence.

Two new remixes from Simos Tagias and Subandrio have found Tim Penner fully in the spotlight while "Lost Again".

The pulsating energy of 'December' is immediately mesmerising as Sebastian Busto creates the perfectly beautiful dreamy atmosphere that he is renowned for. Through his love of exploring progressive realms of music, the Sydney-based Australian DJ/Producer Zankee Gulati is rapidly making his mark on the scene. A blossoming production career has already seen him exhibit his immense talents on the likes of Clinique, Soundteller, Particles, Visceral, Balkan Connection, and most recently, The Soundgarden. His remix of December has seen exclusive early support from Hernan Cattaneo on his Resident radio show, and it is easy to see why. Deeply hypnotic and with a wonderfully intricate arrangement this is masterfully melodic music of the highest order.

Completing this expansive 5-track package is an utterly blissful remix of The Miracle courtesy of Lèrr. This Montenegrin DJ/Producer is recognised for his unique style combining groovy, deep, melodic, progressive vibes. Darin Epsilon is a globally renowned DJ, producer, radio host, and label owner, widely celebrated as one of the pioneers of Melodic House & Techno and Progressive House. As the host of the Perspectives radio show and podcast, he has reached tens of thousands of listeners each month, solidifying his influence within the global dance music community. Since launching his label Perspectives Digital in 2010, Darin has continually expanded his artistic reach, further establishing himself as a key figure in the electronic music scene.

Originally from Chicago, Darin’s early career was shaped by his pivotal residency at the legendary Vision Nightclub. This was followed by his move to Los Angeles in 2008, where he worked with renowned brands such as Insomniac at Exchange LA, GIANT at Avalon and Vanguard, and Monday Night Social. His journey continued in 2017 when he relocated to Berlin, the world’s electronic music capital. By 2022, he further cemented his position on the global stage with a highly coveted DJ residency at Ritter Butzke, one of Berlin’s most beloved venues. 

Darin's career milestones are a testament to his pure talent and determination. In 2011, he gained international recognition by winning John Digweed’s 'Structures Two' DJ Competition, sponsored by Bedrock and Ableton Live, and in 2016, he was nominated for 'Best Progressive House Artist’ at the Beatport Awards.
