Pinerolo is a restaurant in Oslo. I was commissioned by the owners to compile and mix three mixtapes. Their directives were rather vague, lending me an opportunity to pick from any genre, not care too much about how commercial the tracks were and just create an eclectic but cohesive compilation that would contribute to the relaxed vibe at Pinerolo. This is what I did.

Toward a Future Without Light is a melancholy house track built on slow-burning tension and deep, atmospheric layers. It carries a sense of inevitable descent, pulling listeners into a soundscape where hope has already vanished. Dark synth textures and haunting vocal passages echo the weight of a future stripped of warmth, while the steady rhythm drives forward like footsteps into the unknown. It is both hypnotic and devastating. A soundtrack to the quiet realization that some tomorrows never arrive.
