This was originally meant to be part of Here's To Another Exciting Year, but I ended up cutting it. It featured on my mini-mix. Here it is.

Although it ended up on its own, twisted and reconstituted through several permutations and still without a place in a larger work, it has two years of history, and its genesis is very clear to me; even so long afterwards, it still represents an unforgettable, singular, magical experience.

As usual, it will soon appear on popular retail and streaming services.

Check out the whole Artefakts series for a brilliant range of twinkling ambient progressions and drone.
Synth bass and some limited keys are new in this remix. Otherwise all is chopped up from the original or processed from samples of household objects. The "clockwork" sound was an empty cigarette pack with some pieces of cardboard inside it - and I recorded the whole thing shaking away, no looping!

A shrunk-down forty minute live ride through a mixture of drum loops, snippets and one-shot samples from my catalogue of material, combined with a good amount of live improvisation. It rapidly became a bit of a daydream about escaping the chill of winter here, and miraculously travelling to some summer, sun-soaked idyll.
