The eagerly awaited debut EP from Mike Midnight arrives as a special anthology of four tracks, with guest co-production from Lovefear and vox by La Favi and Rhianna.

A Jewel Within A Teardrop is a musical journey into the present, using experiences of the past. The project is filled with rap tropes, strings, and fragmented R&B acapellas that gesture at the artist’s own musical lineage.

Throughout the EP, he sculpts and extends his signature rebirthed grime sound into new terrain - distilling his influences down to a sparse palette of manipulated pop, R&B acapellas, icy synths, and metallic drum samples. The release evokes hope for a new age, drawing upon haunting elements of the past. A Jewel Within A Teardrop is a story about the pain of separating from our past and the joy of our reunion with new beginnings in the present.
