We are beyond excited to bring you the Ocha Records debut for long time master production duo - Souldynamic. For their first release they teamed up with the brilliant Alpha Baba for a part soulful, part culturally rhythmic afro house tune titled 'Matama'.

The Main mix is nothing short of beautiful. Rich vocals with call and response, fantastic musicianship and an undeniable groove!

The Club mix just gives you a little more oomph in the drums but doesn't short the soul one bit!

From underneath the subterranean furniture comes the mythological Dave Nash with the piquant Open Mind / Take Your Time. A musical duality exists between the grooves of the record--perhaps Dave has created a musing that involves a philosophical mixture of good versus evil. The two original tracks are blessed with three incisive revisions from a grouping of ever-captivating entities in electronic music: Jamie Anderson, Danilo Vigorito, and 7th Star (Less Hate & Valentina Black). The result invokes a rapturous howl from the Tulipa garden animals.

Skeletal remains stacked high and bound together. The normalization of sympathy. Green springs. She bore a resemblance to the stranger. Throwing around adverbs. A rose wilted in the sunlight. Inflatable strength. A vixen awaits. When safer measures are employed millions of dreams materialize. Waterspout braids hang loosely in the wind. Action plans and reflecting streams. So much for the fairgrounds. Capitulated bosses dropped bricks on the grass. Flanking line testament. More than a nuisance but less than a fear. Falling deeply in love with the violets.

Kings of Tomorrow’s place in electronic music history is well assured. One of the alias’ for New York legend Sandy Rivera, K.O.T. helped define the early 90's New York house sound with a series of key releases that climaxed in 2001 with the global smash 'Finally' - truly one of the house music classics.
Happily, Sandy Rivera is still making killer, soulful house music and this latest release on Poker Flat Recordings continues to showcase his immeasurable talent for groove.  'Kaoz' is a bumping, attitude-full jam rich with thick, punchy drums and a driving synth pulse - topped off with a stunning spoken word vocal from Divine Essence.

'Kaoz Dub' does a lot more than strip the track of its main vocal elements - the groove is rebuilt as an edgy, tension-filled underground house banger - breaking down into a devastating bass section.

Dario D’Attis - the Swiss born DJ and producer who’s also known as The Funk Ensemble - delivers a fine remix that perhaps draws on some the 90's influence that K.O.T. defined, producing a bumping, building epic track that seems destined for heavy rotation amongst those in the know.

Quentin Harris is a name synonyms with qualtiy music, so when he releases something new, both DJs and dance floors alike naturally take note. “Torture,” his latest with Lynn Lockamy more than lives up to the high standards the New York based DJ and producer has set for himself.
 
Quentin’s deep, driving production coupled with Lynn’s gospel vocals are an infectious combination. As you would expect from a story about a tortured soul, moments of drama and suspense are never far away. The word anthem is used all too frequently to describe vocal tracks, however, when used to describe “Torture,” it feels all too right. 
 
Intense with a soulful edge, MNS143 is Quentin Harris doing what he does best.
