This was so deeply moving. I'm glad he's still here and able to watch his children grow up. What a wonderful woman also to do all she does for the love of her life. Absolutely beautiful recovery story. I loved the comic relief of animal noises lol

Friends, When I started Against Everyone With Conner Habib, there were a few guests I wanted to have on more than just about anyone.
Happy to say, now, on episode 300, one of those central figures to my imagination has arrived for the conversation.
GRANT MORRISON doesn't need much introduction. He's* a rebel artist, spiritual visionary, comic book writer, magician, novelist, and nonfiction writer.  He's written Superman, X-Men, Batman, Doom Patrol, Animal Man, as well as created The Invisibles, Sea Guy, Nameless, The Filth, and more.
⁠The first time I ever heard of Grant Morrison was here⁠, over twenty years ago. in a talk he gave. And then I met him shortly after (I tell you the story in the intro to the episode). His work, and just his being, has been a guidepost for me since I encountered his work.

Gamblin' Fool

In episode 168 I interview multi disciplinary artist, Dark Art society member and brain cancer survivor Dan Colonna. Dan talks about getting into art, painting, model painting, working for Disney Imagineering and then suddenly getting a diagnosis of having terminal brain cancer. 7 years later, he is going strong and doing so well that the doctors can't even explain it! We also discuss the importance of having support from friends and family, his wife Rhonda (and her saintly status), traveling to Italy, his neighborhood rooster named Jesus and tons more. His story is one of hope and inspiration (things that we can all use these days) and he has an important message for everybody: get up off your ass and follow your dreams!
