NOT CONSTANTINE – refined explorer of dark aesthetics. The audio-visual experiences he provides are emotional, raw, and explicit, at times profoundly intense, yet always authentic and containing unique emanations. His sound is multilayered and heterogeneous, formed by a fusion of metallic, dissonant, and simultaneously mournful extracts, immersed in deep bass chasms and veils of noise. As a result, through this acoustic symbiosis, something from a parallel existence pierces through the fabric of reality — alike sorrow or longing for an unrealized, unexperienced version of ourselves. These manifestations resemble a pale and hardly noticeable voice of our inner self, indicating the path to our true personality with an unsettling hum, unfolding us towards our inner home and diverting us from the precipice of living someone else's life.

His performances are paradoxical, akin to a night forest stroll, where everything turns us inward, face to face with our own horrors. The entire focus during his acts is shifted to the "space in between," as the connection with the performer primarily occurs through acoustic vibrations. The emphasis on revealing personal experience is achieved without exposing his personality, his ego, as the contact unfolds purely in the realm of acoustic vibrations.

DARKRED Session 001 - Not Constantine

DARKRED – queer-friendly community, passionately embracing untrivial, extreme music genres and avant-garde art. We foster unusual artistic projects, aimed to explore different forms of intimacy and proximity as well as variety of freedom expressions. The main focus for our selections is candid, harsh, industrial and dissonantly textured sound, which opens additional layer of emotionality, provoking honest and sincere contact with our self. 

We believe that dark and dissonantly-vibed music can be outspokenly therapeutic and creates internal space for honest self-dialog and experiencing complex states. Darkness is immensely embracing. Therefore we find this aspect exceedingly important, while experiencing collective trauma in Ukraine, daily facing death, destruction, torture, rapes, finding new mass graves of civilians on the de-occupied territories.
