The contest will run from 31st OCTOBER until 10th JANUARY 2024 which hopefully gives everyone enough time to get involved.

1. ONLY (dark) techno submissions accepted - *minimum* BPM is 135bpm

2. Upload your remix to Soundcloud or other hosting site and then please post your remix link ON THE EVENT PAGE - https://www.facebook.com/events/884742523265282 -  Soundcloud links are preferable. *Please note - posts to event page must be ACCEPTED by admin before they appear on the page so dont worry if you posted your remix and it does not show there

3. Only ONE submission per artist, post FULL tracks, NO previews or "work in progress" - Mp3 320kbps or Wav is fine, unmastered or home mastered (winning entries must be able to supply a premaster wave file)

4. Make sure you turn downloads off and please do not allow your entry to be downloaded from social media sites or to be uploaded to Youtube etc.

5. You MAY NOT use these remix parts again for original material without PERMISSION from Hefty (he WILL know)!!!

Welcome to Darker Sounds - Purveyors of Darkness. 

Starting from our first release in 2012, we have remained uncompromising in our commitment to the unique sound of the underground and also to the support of our artists, and have since gained worldwide support, hosting label nights across the EU, attended by newcomers and die-hard Darker Sounds fans alike, who are happy to travel for hours just to hear our artists perform.

However, as global tensions and temperatures continue to rise, its only right that we reflect this by moving in a harder and faster direction. Darker Sounds is set to dominate once again, forging ahead from 2023 onwards with a new concept for our output. 

We will ONLY be releasing stripped back "pure" techno, mixed with our notorious Darker Sounds pitch black style. Dark, heavy, hard and driving...............no funny stuffs...........135BPM minimum.
