Daniel Jaeger - Be A Better You EP

The first Criminal Bassline EP release comes from Daniel Jaeger. A young artist who is also part of the core-crew of Criminal Bassline Berlin. We are really proud to present his first solo EP!
Daniel Jaeger, born and raised in Berlin, started producing music at the age of 12 and started to DJ in clubs at 16. He joined the core-crew of Criminal Bassline in 2016 and quickly became one of the label managers. In 2017 he joined the well-known Berlin underground party series “Bordel des Arts” as resident DJ. This year, Daniel finally released his first track “Stampede” which came out on Bar 25 Music as part of the Bordel Des Arts Vol.1 compilation and he has already signed lots more music to other labels.
The title track is called “Be A Better You“ and is definitely one for the peak time on the dance floor. Packed with sub-frequencies, a deep and groovy bassline, punchy kick and a vocal which will stick in your mind for a while. The b-side track “Weird World“ also highlights his signature sound. This one is darker and more trippy. It touches your brain on a deeper level but is straight forward at the same time. Both tracks are definitely multitools for the dance floor!
Alongside the two originals, this EP includes two remixes of the title track “Be A Better You”.
The first remix is made by Criminal Bassline founder Mike Book who delivers a dark and edgy peak time tech-house interpretation. The second remix comes courtesy of “Patent Skills” label owner DJ Lion who adds a straight forward techno remake of the original to complete the package!

Amaru Batallanos Young Argentine Musician and Dj/Producer began his career in electronic music at the age of 17 years , influenced by bands such as Depeche Mode and Daft Punk started in the world of music production with few elements but with much decision. At the age of 22 he was influenced by the Techno and Minimal sound of artists such as Richie Hawtin, Dub Fire and Maceo Plex, which led him to perform his first tracks of the genre. Nowadays his productions go from very deep basses to aggressive synthesizers generating textures and hypnotic atmospheres. Amaru sees Techno sound as a source of energy and inspiration an art form to express all our emotions. This young but restless producer promises us a lot to give.

Handsdown & Leigh Boy - Dust Snake (Carbon Remix)

Senso Sounds drops another two track treat of prime-time techno. Here, label regular André Winter teams up with Bastian Heerhorst, the fellow Hamburg resident who has been making tracks since 1995 and releasing on scene heavyweights like Octopus, Stil vor Talent, Tronic, Set About, and Beatfreak, among others. The results are predictably effective - tough, weaponized techno for the club. Time-Out is taut as a drum - the thick low end driving the track onwards while dramatic rave sounds pepper the fringes, while the deeply narcotized vocal adds a layer of seediness. On remix duties is Carbon - another Hamburg-based producer who's releasing his Controlling Your Mind on Senso as well. The Carbon Remix finds some additional space in the groove to provide a deeper vibe. Some growling synths ramp up the drama, while the arpeggiated lead is given room to build up to a massive drop.
