With a surging spatial strategy, ‘Flight to Cappadocia’ refers to the Turkish region known for vast underground cities. ‘Rite’ evokes a hypnotic and tense atmosphere where primordial forces act with impunity.

From ceremonial dirges to frantic rites, ‘Brutal Civilisation’ draws together ideas of humanity’s position within the vastness of time, questioning the nature of civilisation. 

thatboytim (Takeover Rec) and Rob Mac (Sonika) are the Interdimensional Drifters. Both have a long history in punk, post-rock, and noise rock, as well as techno, electronica.

Brutal Civilisation - Part 3 is third part of three.

Bringing an end to our trilogy of singles by Interdimensional Drifters, two slabs of prehistoric technoid rhythm code.

Repurposing a late 20th century pop music rhythm, 'Sundaland' drags it into the mist of time. The disembodied guitar scree and bolts of electrical static state the tone as the martial beat rolls on. Named after the lost landmass of Southeast Asia, a victim of forces far beyond those that humanity could claim.

'Whorl Music' relies on ever decreasing cycles of scavenged syncopations. Did Neanderthals know how to jack?

Around the halfway mark, Mx switches it up into breaky tech with DJ Polo, Si Begg, Nikki Nair, before bringing it back into some slamming techno from Roll Dann, Crime as Service, and Lenson in the final stretch. Sprinkled with a few housey cuts from Kyle Hall and Crime Partners too.
