NEURODIVERSITY
Neurodiversity is a concept that refers to the natural variations in the human brain and nervous system, and the idea that these differences should be
recognised and respected as part of the normal spectrum of human diversity.
This includes conditions such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, Tourette's syndrome,
and other neurological differences.

The neurodiversity movement emphasises the idea that these neurological differences are not disorders, but rather natural variations that should be celebrated and accommodated.  The movement also seeks to promote acceptance and understanding of neurodivergent individuals, and advocates for
equal rights and opportunities for people with neurodivergent conditions.

Overall, the neurodiversity concept challenges the idea that there is a single "normal" or "correct" way for the brain to function, and instead recognises and celebrates the unique strengths and perspectives of all individuals, regardless of their neurology.

PERSONALITY DISORDERS
Personality disorders are a group of mental health conditions that are characterised by long-standing patterns of thought, behaviour, and inner experience that deviate significantly from cultural norms and expectations.  These patterns are generally inflexible, pervasive, and cause significant distress or impairment in various areas of a person's life, such as work, relationships,  and personal development.

There are 10 recognised personality disorders in the DSM-5, which is the diagnostic manual used by mental health professionals.

These are:
1.  Paranoid Personality Disorder
2.  Schizoid Personality Disorder
3.  Schizotypal Personality Disorder
4.  Antisocial Personality Disorder
5.  Borderline Personality Disorder
6.  Histrionic Personality Disorder
7.  Narcissistic Personality Disorder
8.  Avoidant Personality Disorder
9.  Dependent Personality Disorder
10.  Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder

Personality disorders can be challenging to diagnose and treat because they often involve deeply ingrained patterns of thinking and behavioor that can be difficult to change.  However, with the right combination of therapy, medication, and support, many people with personality disorders can learn to manage their symptoms and lead fulfilling lives.

It's important to note that having a personality disorder is not the same as being a bad person, and individuals with personality disorders should not be stigmatised or discriminated against. 

Like all mental health conditions,
personality disorders are medical conditions that require care and
understanding.
