Spring Grove X

Daniel Darkhofer 

born and raised in the world capital of classical music, Vienna, lost his heart to electronic music early on when he heard Jean Michel Jarre's "Oxygene" at the age of 10.

In 1993, he found himself at the birthplace of the nationwide techno scene, the Gazometer in Vienna. Inspired by the atmosphere of these legendary parties, he was soon turning the turntables himself at other internationally renowned venues such as the Arena, Flex, EKH and many more.

Even after his training as a sound engineer, his preferences always remained true to electronic music and its culture. The vinyl album “Hello this is Frog” and the CD production “nyvibes” (a virtual city guide through New York) were released by the label Vibecontrol. Always interested in and enthusiastic about technology, he was also offered an interesting excursion into the world of 3D graphics, film and video game productions.

Driven by his longing for music, in 2022 D.D.'s fingers once again found their way to the knobs and controls of his own recording studio. New technology, combined with the incomparable original sound of Moog synthesizers, are his tools of choice. 
Hard beats, deep basses, and playful polyrhythms are his homage to to the techno of the 90s. His innate love of techno and electronic music was, is and will always be the wind beneath his wings.
