A rising talent from the heart of São Paulo, Dizrupt, returns to Dispatch following 2023’s “Rackle EP”. A key figure in the Brazilian drum and bass scene, his innovative approach to drum and bass combines his love of experimental recording techniques with a vibe-first, upfront energy that runs throughout his tracks.  

The "Barko EP" developed from a live guitar recording session and quickly took shape, taking inspiration from the resulting sounds which morphed into the unique sounds of the granular, percussive beast that is the title track. Each track on this finely textured release effortlessly blends infectious danceability with crisp, clean production for maximum impact. 

As an inspiration for the flourishing South American DNB community he continues to be top of the export list, bringing the whole scene onboard the good ship Dizrupt.

Miss Medik - Under The Skin

We start our journey with the first EP  tilted "Blood For Fun" featuring one of the most prolific and creative artist on the Iberian drum & bass, who perfectly captures the essence and concept of the label, both musically and personally: TAREK

Influenced by doom, stoner metal and 2000s techstep sound, Tarek is known as a very active producer from Madrid, especially in the recent years, in which we have been able to hear his dark and deep sound on many of the most important drum and bass and electronic labels in the Spanish state, such as Nightcode, Anticlockwise, Ketapasando or Antistatik, among others, at the same time he 've been releasing some self edited stuff on Bandcamp.

For our first release, he bring us this mixture of raw crunchy basslines and complex drum programming skills across 3 tracks on 135 to 174 bpms: From the techy-halftime beat of "Blood For Fun" to the agressiveness and growling basslines of "Gladius", passing through the dark garage heaviness of  "Secutor", to compelte a full deadly weapon ready to destroy the dancefloor.

Mortlock & Universal Project's 'Broken Silence' album stands to this day as a favourite LP for many. Previously unavailable in a digital format, Dispatch Recordings is proud to present a new twist on an all-time classic drum & bass album including new bonus material. Each track sounds superb, thanks to the glossy, modernised 2024 mastering work from Haden at Height Mastering. 

In the early 2000s Mortlock was part of Vicious Circle and dropped one of their first demos through the door of Universal Project's flat. By surprise this led to their first release on Renegade Hardware - a remix of the Universal Project track 'Jackhammer'. This connection would continue to be creative with Mortlock eventually moving into that same flat with Universal Project, where the legendary 'Rollers Convention' would form the first track from this album. Aiming to encapsulate the full range of styles that had inspired them during those furtive years, the album reflects their diverse influences with nods to everything from high melodics to tearout filth. All whilst still maintaining the essence of their sounds - which is to always keep it rolling. 
 
A lesson in rollers in the original sense, this is a firm favourite release for Ant TC1 who has led the 2 year album curation process as a fan first and foremost - it embodies raw breakbeat-driven tech-funk with heavy percussive 2-step and unique soundscapes for that unique Siren Records sound. Now complete with additional tracks, plus singles from the Siren catalogue.
