During a radio interview with JMJ in 2008.
I asked him to guide me and the listeners through Oxygene - part by part. 

He really liked the idea. The interview was made for a music show called Lydverket on Norwegian National Radio. (NRK).

Oxygene explained part by part by Jean-Michel Jarre himself.

It's been a while since I posted some orchestral tracks.

This was completed in Propellerheads Reason. The majority of sounds are the Miroslav ReFills with some Softphonics EmbouchuRe ReFill layered in the brass sections. 

Thanks again to Selig for his free orchestral ReFills. Here I've used his Suspended Cymbals and his Cinematic Drums Combinator. Thanks mate!

So when I first heard this  song in my head, I imagined this as some kind of Two-Tone Genre.
But when Phil and I began writing this, we tried a soul song and then tried to make it "modern".  It ended up sounding like a child of the 80s.
My friend say "Pet Shop Boys" so I'm resigned to wearing a traffic cone on my head.
Thanks Phil for all the time you've spent mixing and adding to the song in so many ways.

Its meant to be a father singing to his child about how beautiful our planet is/ was.

This is the first song that Phil and I collaborated on in a year. I told Phil that I had a half written Acid House Jazz song and he thought that he  could fuse it with an element from his hero, Jean Michel Jarre ..... and this it it.
The song is pretty abstract but it’s about the Dreams of people who have inspired me....and many others. In some cases they were locked up or paid the ultimate sacrifice for their beliefs; The Luther-Kings, Mandelas, Gandhis, Lincolns and Lennons of our past. I think we really need some in the present. The sparse lyrics are peppered with some of their key words or phrases.
It’s about dreams so Phil has added a dream sequence.
