The sky hangs heavy, a bruised and broken thing
In the twilight whispers, a final song to sing
From the smoldering ashes, a crimson wing unfurled
The Firebird, Doom, to consume the dying world.
Her eyes, twin embers, glow with ancient might
A harbinger of endings, burning ever bright.

But then a shadow falls, a silence cold and deep
The Raven, Death, from mountains where secrets sleep.
With feathers dark as midnight, and eyes like polished stone
He comes to claim the fallen, and sit upon his throne.
Two titans rising, against the fading sun
A final confrontation, before the world is done.

Across the earthly realm, they soar on furious breath
The Firebird of Doom, The Raven of Death.
Spitting spiritual warfare, where their shadows roam
A battle for the ages, a fight for future home.

Death of America, reflection in the mirror, tried to block it out
The towers start to crumble and flies buzzing around the corpses loud

Mankind has been drug through the mud, bloody and covered in scars
We really can't have anything nice, chains of darkness never go far

I haven't seen forgotten dreams realized in our lives
Carry the weight of the world, even through the deep water, with brains fried

Prophets screamed of downfall, brought us to our knees

Held tight to the stories, the hurts and the pride

A collection of what I didn't want to be, mean
But the cracks started showing, the foundations did shake
