For this premiere we look to Canada for a listen to a track from the 12th album by @AetherPilot

Claude Charnier is the 53 year old conceptual artist behind the project, based in Montreal. Having been producing since the late 80's, the Aether Pilot sound is strongly inspired by film scores of that era. He told me that the main goal with this project is creating a soundtrack for a dark, retro, futuristic world. He draws influence for the project from acts like Front 242, Kraftwerk, Jean-Michel Jarre and Anthony Rother. 

All of the music composed by Claude is done in his home studio, where his list of gear is quite impressive. A few of the standouts include: Minibrute, Drumbrute, Rytm, Analog Four, MS-20, Radias, Microzwerg, Sub37, Minitaur, and a MicroModular vocoder. 

The track selected by @DarkScienceElectro to premiere is the opening track of the album entitled 'De Grands Vaisseaux'. This track brings together all the components of his vision, balancing a dystopian-feel with inspiring soundscapes, brilliantly composed simple rhythm structures and haunting vocoder use.
