David Castellani returns to his Noetic imprint with vigorous 2 tracker, ‘Tweaker Dearest’.

LA based label Noetic continues to flourish with yet another EP from its founder, David Castellani. LA based by way of Italy, the modular synthesist has gradually moulded the techno-forward label with instalments of his work, ranging from ambient and electro to the driving techno presented in the likes of newest EP, ‘Tweaker Dearest’.

In standard Castellani style, he builds anticipation and teases listeners with a retractive build-up in title track ‘Tweaker Dearest’. Rippling keys are driven forward by a strident kick in a hypnotic loop while an airy underlying synth floats gradually into the mix. Chirping percussion flickers over the main groove, with the addition of ascending keys that exhibit the subtle electro elements in David’s productions. Ravey acid stabs are tied in at the mid-way point, injecting immense energy to this infectious cut.

Up next is ‘Tweaker Dearest Stab Tool’. Taking the foundations of its predecessor, Castellani lets the electro twinged keys come to the forefront here, with a subtle build-up loop and driving element that creates the perfect dancefloor tool.

The EP comes hot on the heels of David’s latest release, the diverse 7 tracker ‘Phrenesis’. Picking up support from industry heavies including Chris Liebing, Dave Clarke, Charlotte de Witte and DJ Bone, it’s no doubt that ‘Tweaker Dearest’ and Noetic’s subsequent releases will garner equal acclaim.
