From the early years he was fascinated by electronic music and rave culture. Soon after he became a DJ and got involved with the national club scene for several years.   

His love for the legendary drum machines such as 808 and 909 and analog synthesizers eventually made Darktone decide to focus on producing his own recordings. Withdrawn from the city life, he locked himself in his studio located in the middle of a forest and began to shape his own sound. Atavistic weakness for dark sounds and melancholic melodies, combined with a dose of energetic rhythms, gave rise to what later became his style. In his sound, apart from the synthesis, one can hear many unconventional percussion elements, which Darktone discovers in the everyday mundane reality and records by himself.   

He experiments with creating his own style in techno – atmospheric, organic, intertwined with progressive melodies. Consciously blurring the boundaries, he gets inspired by other genres – from ambient through house to film music. In his work, the intrinsic experiences and emotions play a crucial role. It is the situations that he is involved in everyday that get expressed in his recordings as the atmosphere often full of depth and anxiety. Each subsequent song takes on a different emotion, tells its own story, another life episode, and each of his sets takes us on a long journey full of multi-level experiences.
