It was only back then when Xenia Beliayeva finally kickstarted her career as a club DJ at the opening night of Karlsruhes Centre For Art and Media Technology (ZKM). Opening a night that featured the french Techno pioneer Laurent Garnier and electronic music legends Kraftwerk live on stage after only a few years being around DJ‘ing at art events and similar occasions.
Many things have happened since these early days, when she was freelancing for labels like Playhouse, Klang Elektronik or Mute Records and working for the highly acclaimed Ladomat for many of years where she took care of various business issues including the A&R department. Not to forget managing her own label Lone Records in conjunction with Formic Distribution and the Ladomat 2000-offspring Danced Records which is another part of Xenia Beliayeva‘s journey.
All these things have taken her from the art / exhibition circuits to clubs, raves and festivals allover the world. Continously evolving to the fully established, highly appreciated and award-winning DJ / vocalist Xenia Beliayeva is now, solo and in several collaborational projects that she‘s taken part in throughout the years. With 12“ releases under her belt put on the circuit via imprints like Datapunk, Different, Systematic Recordings and others plus a fulllength album debut („Ever Since“) on Shitkatapult there‘s no wondering why Xenia Beliayeva has been caught collecting miles and miles, traveling to places like Spain, France, Italy or paving her way to faraway countries like Ukraine, Australia, Russia or Brazil where she built a firm, enthusiastic fan base and, in the Brazilian district of Mato Grosso, won the Factoide Award for the Best Live Performance two times in a row. And live means live as Xenia Beliayeva has more to offer than just playing records. Her performance range has evolved from the regular DJ-set to DJ-/live amalgamations in which the Moscow-born artist is voicing special edits of her own productions and now reached the stage of full on live concerts, fronting the stage with a unique vocalist style and pure presence whilst her long-time partner André Winter is taking care of technical aspects.
This ability as such has once again increased the number of fans and followers attending XenBel shows allover the place and tuning in to her Radio Xenbel show which is broadcasted on several stations and in various cities she‘s playing, giving her an extra slot of air time plus a new and quite innovative way to interact directly with her ever-growing fanbase. And reactions show, that they do feel the meaning of each song even though they might not get the words as hit-singles like „Momentan“ or the more recent „Dumpfe Träume“ are performed and broadcasted worldwide in their orginal form - with lyrics sung in German.
This surely is another important point that singles out Xenia Beliayeva‘s position as „artiste extraordinaire“. She is a multi-lingual butterfly serving special flavours amongst mostly instrumental or at least monolingual competitors. Plus: her devotees are not only hailing from electronic club land but feeling at home in the darker, kind of Goth-flavored areas as well as in Synth- and Non-Mainstream Pop. Areas Xenia Beliayeva is not afraid of to explore as not only her videos but also different remix works, e.g. for the Techno vs. EBM-flavored Nitzer/McCarthy project,
do prove.
These devotees will be pleased for sure by Xenia Beliayeva‘s new album in the making, an electronic journey named „Riss“ after the spontaneous working title of the very first demo track created for the
album. The tracks name was changed to protect the innocent, the German word „Riss“ (engl: fissure, crack, fracture, jag, disruption) was here to stay, ready to break down stylistic borders and artificial walls between naturally connected scenes.

Over the years, the French producer Clarence Rise has developed a strong musical identity, always gaining in intensity and singularity, where incisive techno mixes with the icy atmospheres of coldwave. Some people characterize his work as cinematic electronics or “Cold Techno”, with a strong emphasis on complex rhythms, dark sound design and contemplative melancholy.

Author of several releases on different labels (Chez KitoKat, Bella Ursa, DNC Limited or his own label: Freestate Records) and different media, this DJ and live artist makes his shows real journeys, as dynamic as introspective.

Ian McDonnell, a.k.a. Eomac, is a composer, producer, label owner and DJ. He has released genre-spanning music via The Trilogy Tapes, Stroboscopic Artefacts, Bedouin Records, Killekill, his own Eotrax imprint and most recently on the iconic label Planet Mu with his 2021album, 'Cracks'.
An active collaborator he is one half of electronic duo Lakker with Dara Smith (Arad), noeverything with producer / vocalist Laura Kilty (aka LAIR) and Lena Andersson with producer Kyoka. He has an upcoming collaboration with Saint Abdullah and has worked with Ugandan rapper MC Yallah to much acclaim. He also releases music under the monikers OMIC and EeOo.
As a DJ and live performer he has played across the globe at festivals such as Mutek, Atonal, Norberg and Unsound, and in clubs such as Berghain, Tresor, Concrete and Circus Tokyo.
All of this activity has garnered support and attention from far afield and Eomac can count the likes of Thom Yorke and Aphex Twin among his many fans.
His music often draws from obscure samples and raw sound design, digging deep into a dark mysticism for the dancefloor, a continuing exploration of the furthest reaches of intense, visceral music for body and soul.

Nodar Kocherashvili - He's been interested in music from very early age. University years, he was member of community united for one idea to organise several festivals in Kutaisi. GAMADON (aka GAvin MAc DONagh) started buying records and DJing in Dublin in 1996. He is a vinyl only DJ and record collector - Irish, currently based in London.
• He runs the @warehouse-manifesto label, with the first vinyl release out in earlier this year. A limited edition picture disc featuring electro tracks released in digital format only previously on Bass Agenda Recordings. Two more vinyl releases planned for release in 2022.
• He curates the Warehouse Manifesto mix series which he started in 2021. Some of his guests to date include Umwelt, Ben Sims, Claude Young, Joey Beltram, Jensen Interceptor, Sync 24 and Alienata.
• Most notably, he supported The Prodigy, on their European tour in cities such as Berlin, Hanover, Prague and Luxembourg in 2015-2016.

The project was initiated in early 2020, and builds on decades of audiovisual experiments.

Everything has a beginning and an end. Life is just a cycle of starts and stops. Dark Underground Podcast is no exception and I decided to end my 9 years and 56 days of work... This is a very difficult decision for me because I really put everything into it. Unfortunately, I no longer see the need to continue my podcast. Everything is changed in the scene, everything is fake around us and I really don't want to be part of the scene. I have no motivation and energy to continue. 

I think that I have reached my main goal since the beginning.
Podcast had only one purpose to support beginner artists, the less popular as well as the popular ones.

more ritual music also with elements of experimental techno and dark ambient. Usually uses her own vocals in her music.
Her music is not built so much on dance rhythms as it is more mind trip.
She`s also the co-founder of an experimental label ''Borders Of Known'' created in 2020.
The multiverse is a set of events of infinite magnitude,
at the same time every unique event in the universe can also be perceived indefinitely in a variety of perceptual ways,
feeling as much as the perceiver can exist.

Saahiwa is such a form of existence when something expands through these perceptual methods,
To be seen wherever nothing seemed, and to be seen with new eyes that has been seen so far.

Though Turkey may seem like an unlikely place for Techno, following in the tradition of fellow countrymen Butch; it is the home of a true hidden gem in Emir Hazir. Starting his career in music as a DJ at a popular turkish radio station, he discovered the world of production through a chance encounter with some analog gear at a friend's house in 2004. He immediately fell in love and the rest is history. Emir eventually moved onto software and spent the following years teaching himself how to produce by studying manuals, tutorials, and music as he gradually learned and refined his sound. His diligence paid off and Emir finally released his first EP, the formidable “Come Closer EP” on Feierkind Records in 2011. Since then Emir Hazir hasn't looked back, leaving a long trail of releases on Black Brook Ltd, Login Records, Hit Musik, Terminus Audio and many more. Though Emir may joke about his english being dodgy – his music is anything but. Emir Hazir has a cerebral approach to his productions – esoteric and effective; every polished sound has a purpose with an extreme attention to detail. An in-demand producer and remixer, his tracks have found their way into the hands of Stevie Wilson, Paul Blauth, Ideal Flow, Marika Rossa, Marcus Reichel, Monktec, Herbert He, Brett Hit, Peat Noise, Stephan Koenigk, AudioDistraction and more. Now aligning himself with Terminus Audio and Management, Emir will no doubt be making a serious impact on the terrain of techno in the months and years to come.

Dimitris Diamantis, also known as Corvum.
Greek born musician, composer, producer, DJ ,sound designer.
The first contact with music was at the age of 5 when started playing classical piano and was introduced to the classical culture, philosophy and sound. Practically lived in a conservatory until had finished all classical music studies. After that, has left Greece and went to the University of Graz in Austria (Universitat für Musik und kuns Darstellende) and then to Bologna's University in Italy ([D.A.M.S (Dicipline delle Arti,della Musica e dello Spettacolo)] to expand his knowledge in music.
It was when he heard, for the first time, music by Jean Michel Jarre and Vangelis Papathanasiou that changed his perspective on music. Suddenly, the electronic element intruded his mind, boosted the passion for creation and changed the way that wanted to create and listen to music for ever!
The piano gave its place to synthesizers and started playing and producing more "electronically".He began listening to artists/groups and music in general, based on synths, electro and synthpop. In the late 80's was involved with House and Techno music, EBM, IDM and other various sub-genres of electronic music.It was in the early 90's when created Corvum and since then he embarked on a musical journey of experimentation.
Computers were the new tool added to his arsenal and along the studies he was involved with digital software and hardware music production and Djing.As Corvum first era created 4 unreleased hypnotic industrial downtempo minimal LPs.The passion for innovation and the everlasting attraction to electronic music, clubbing culture and Djing, led things happen and started professionally producing Corvum's new era that made him invade the music industry and discography!

Gabriel Morelli aka Dist, was born in 1994. He became interested in percussion since he was 12 years old. He first got into electronic music listening to bands like Underworld or Joy Division. Later it was defining his musical taste for the side of minimal techno with a lot from plastikman, and the most percussive techno listening to Regis.
He was also very interested in the surround sound of the Dub Techno of Berlin by the hand of Deepchord (Rod Modell). He currently produces these two styles separately and performs live and hybrid presentations using his modular system.
Their productions are mixed by DJs like Dax J, Jeroen Search, Inigo Kennedy, YYYY, Pacou, Bjorn Torwellen, Drumcell, Pfirter, Paul Birken, Dasha Rush and many more.
In 2017 he formed his own label, Gomboc Records, and joined the Assault booking team.

and consistently across the various international minimal and techno charts.

Insect Elektrika, one of the first Czech minimal live acts. Its founders, Martin Vodicka and Jan Vaclavik, after first meeting in the high school, find out that except same humor they have another same hobby – music. For great enthusiasm into minimal music they decided to establish the project Insect Elektrika in the year 2002.
Premiere live performance took place in the year 2006 that brings a number of other offers for shows in Slovakia, Austria, and Germany. The same year getlemen launched own minimal night called Bubbles digital night, which successfully continued for many years and had hosted lots great artists (such as Philipp Wolgast, Kleinschmager Audio, Miss Sunshine, Easy Changes, Dubit, Splatter, Coeter one, Ixel etc.)
In 2008, released the EP on the German label Vekton. Further releases on labels all over the globe (Monocline Records,Genesa, Paria Records, Illegal Alien). 
On 2011 meets Splatter and becomes the part of the Frucht label, also join labels like Shinocs, Hex, Coal or Divided. Later on RRygular, Creapy Finger.
Early 2014 12" Eminor! Than Nosi music and returned to live from machines!
Live performances of Insect Elektrika are always very unusual, because guys love the experiments, but guys certainly no secret that they give space to their feelings and moods.

Jens Lewandowski plays at the big German cities, is a regular and well known guest in clubs like Tresor, Suicide Circus oder Sisyphos in Berlin und, last but not least, spreads his sound abroad and at festivals like the Helene Beach.
The base for this steep rise is surely his talent for producing. Already in 2006 the vinyl lover started to produce tracks independently. Releases like Do Not Stand, Panopal, Back Again or Funny Face made fellow musicians sit up. Finally, in 2015, he scored a coup when he and Alfred Heinrichs released the „Super EP“ (2015 Supdub Records), which rated highly in the Beatport charts for weeks. Further releases came on Creepy Finger Records, Phobos Records, plunk! and Treibjagd Records.
All this and numerous remixes show how busy but yet passionate this guy is - and he will bring off a lot more for sure.

Yassine Rajouani aka LARAJ, raver since the age of 17 and a big fan of techno events everywhere in Morocco, He was especially influenced by the Techno culture of the Free-Parties which is based on the good understanding, the respect, the mutual aid, and solidarity .
This artist began mixing in the techno events at the city of Agadir by the end of 2015 with Parade collective which he was the founder, and whose goal was to democratize techno in this city.
His first steps were in Acid Techno which was at that time one of his main influences, then passing by Dark Techno.
After moving to Casablanca, he joined Mindless which is one of the pioneering collectives of underground techno in Morocco.
Lately, he has moved towards a much darker and deeper arts  ,in his latest sets and podcasts, he leaned towards industrial and experimental music as well as EBM and post-punk.

MDS  (Music  Developer  System) is  a  DJ and  producer  who  started  his  adventure with music from a rock band. Inspired by strong sounds, he skillfully combined them  with electronic music, which began to affect his emotional  impressions. After several  years of artistic activity, he began to play music that deviates from standard DJ sets,  including  drum machines  in his  performances, thus  creating live  hybrid mixes.  Care  for  the  selection  process  and  inspiration  from  the industrial,  often  dark  climate makes his sets a dynamic, but consistent journey in which he takes his audience.

MasCon is a Germany based techno DJ and producer who discovered his love for electronic music in the early nineties. Spinning records on rave parties in the Hannover area was a lot of fun but not enough. With an Amiga, sampler and some effects he started producing his own music. While traveling through Germany's record stores and parties, he got in touch with Daniel Benavente and Ibrahim Alfa, followed by first MasCon releases on Mutter, Neue Heimat and Semi Automatic. With the move to Berlin his DJ career was accomplished by becoming a Tresor Headquarters Dj. At the same time MasCon played a lot of live sets and as a DJ in Germany and Europe. Multiple own labels (Klangnet, Antikonsum, Zinch) were also founded together with Dibu-Z and al.X.e. In 2008 he moved to the sunny southwest Germany next to France and Switzerland.  The sound of MasCon is a mixture of modern and oldskool techno. His studio
setup expanded over the last 20 years into a harmonic combination of synthesizers and drum computers. It is modular, analog and digital combined with heavy effects and straight drum patterns. The mostly live tweaked and recorded tracks add agility to his productions.
MasCon has also released on labels like Konsequent, Mord, Heraldic, Illegal Alien Records, Snork Enterprises and hxagrm.

exploring through many subgenres of the electronic music, playing in legendary clubs all around the world as: Tresor and Suicide Circus in Berlin, Contra (Seoul), Reverb (London), Moog (Bcn), Cassette (Madrid), Lärm (Budapest), Cürk (Prague), Gamma Club (Tourin) Detached and Tensail in Leeds, etc ,and festivals like: Mugako (Spain) and Alkototabor (Hungary).
