Mmangaliso Mtolo staged name “Dark Whiz” is a rapper, songwriter and performing artist from Mthatha, South Africa. He discovered his love for hip-hop music at the age of 16 in 2016 when he would see his older brother rapping and started imitating him and his fellow rappers, that’s when he started writing his own lyrics.

Dark Whiz pens his lyrics in mostly English and IsiXhosa,fused with street slang to try and cater for everyone. He believes that his music is a reflection of life from his eye as he writes about what he sees around him about draws inspiration from surroundings.

His music career started early 2020 and has had a very promising take off as he has worked with Joejo, Albert (Nigeria) , Black T and joined prominent artist management and music PR company Nine2Five Productions.
