With Vini Vici’s Alteza Records joining the Smash The House family earlier this year, their first output ‘Galaxy’ with Paul Van Dyk has smashed over half a million Spotify streams in little over a month since release, while gaining support from trailblazers across the board such as Armin van Buuren, W&W, and of course, label heads and current DJ Mag Top 100 DJ’s Poll #1 Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. Now, joining forces with Italian DJ/Producer Jean Marie for their second collab following the success of ‘Gaia’ last year, this dynamic duo drop ‘Moyoni’ featuring Highlight Tribe on vocal duties.

Kicking off with rolling snare drums behind a mantra containing the track’s title, the sound is cut before looming synths announce Vini Vici’s trademark touch. Breaking in with reverberating low-ends and varying sound effects, the conclusion is every inch the kind of anthematic psytrance that is becoming increasingly favourable with crowds at some of dance music’s most elite hotspots. With last year’s collab ‘Gaia’ picking up mainstage plays at Tomorrowland, ASOT, and Mysterland, while being supported by the top end of the Top 100 DJ’s Poll; R3HAB, W&W and more, it should come as no surprise that the track is question aims headfirst for the masses.

With Jean Marie dropping the Italian opera/psytrance fusion ‘Dolci Pensiere’ (sweet thoughts) on Dimitri & Mike’s preeminent sublabel Generation Smash earlier this year, the synergy of these two skilled creatives serves to exhibit some of the finest psytrance represented by this leading imprint on electronic music.
