Turbo Ride

The rising & shining Belgian duo Sylphomatic (SXDNS354) debuted on Logia Records not so long ago. Their “Diskotripo” EP, featuring three stunning and fiery-as-hell originals, reached the “shelves” of digital retailers in December last year and is now back presenting this time two remixes made with love by some of the hottest Mexican young talents: Corresponsal & Diskontrol (SXDNS254) and Chinosynth (FREEDL021).

It was also not so long ago that the duo appeared for the first time in the Indie Dance/Dark Disco spectrum: Their “Eyes On Karman” EP, released on the mighty NEIN Records, came with a thumping five-track selection (yes, all originals) and introduced the craft of the Brussels-based artists to the world.

But let’s go back to the present, shall we? Premiered here, the insightful interpretation of “Super High”, brought to life by Corresponsal & Diskontrol, marks the first collaboration between the young Latino producers. In their hands, Sylphomatic’s piece got less distorted but rockier, slightly slower (from 125 to 123 BPM) but more acid. Both focus on the peak time – successfully!

Joyce Muniz & Theus Mago’s feisty ‘Balin Bali’ Italo collaboration is a hot enough snack on its own, but with these two excellent new remixes it just got even tastier.

French producer and Jennifer Cardini collaborator Damon Jee steps up with an alternate Italo take on the original. The track builds slowly and with a moody edge as synths soar and snares hit hard over a chugging arpeggiated bassline, climaxing a dizzying breakdown which really gets the synapses firing. Slamming us back down into a sparse arrangement where that bassline rules all, the euphoria is snatched away from us suddenly in dramatic and very effective fashion.

Next up, Marvin & Guy up the tempo to a pacey house bounce and lay on some gentle electro textures. Shimmering stabs fizz atop a galloping beat as relentless bass waves undulate propulsively. The synths unfurl further in the breakdown before the time-stretched vocal announces the drop, where a heady crescendo awaits us. Synth flutes add a mystical edge next as the track steps back into a more hypnotic groove.

Born in Mexico, now living in France, Leonor is a well received producer with a remarkable impact in the electronic scene releasing in labels such Feines Tier, My Favorite Robot to name a few.
He lands on Polaris with a beautiful Ep plenty of matisses, featuring a collaboration with the  French producer 'Iba Boo'.

The Ep kicks off with shimmering energy with the track ‘Yo Soy'. The Mexican artist sets the scene with a sprawling, spacey trip. With deep chugging and undulating guitars, it's a swampy, intense road trip... with no way home.

We continue with the track 'Cold', a magnificent piece in collaboration with the talented 'Iba Boo' where the chords of his Telecaster blend with the vocals where good vibrations and positive energy are omnipresent.

For the remix, French duo Damon Jee & Darlyn Vlys join forces to reinterpret their version of "Yo Soy", a poignant version destined to hit the dancefloor.
While , the German duo Peter Invasion & Gregor Habicht deliver their own version of 'Yo Soy', bringing their own acid and dark signature to the ep

The nations of Bosnia and Hungary collided and brought together a new e-music duo: All Eyes On You, despite having been formed not so long ago, already counts with a strong local backing amassed due to their second to none melodic and dark art sets. They started producing only this year – probably as a result of a tedious lockdown – and will finally have their debut release on the alluring UK-based label Paradiso Records curated by respected DJ and producer REES.

For the extra-terrestrial, darker disco lovers out there, AEOY have cooked something beautiful for you: “Red Planet”, the track we chose to premiere, brings a fat bassline, menacing FXs/risings, and a throbbing synth layer that perfectly showcase the sharpness and the sting of their production skills. With two powerful originals and one solid remix by Velax, “Pango EP” is here to show the world the lads have an interesting story to tell: All eyes on them, peeps!
