Found my old hard drive with all my 2008 / 2009 stuff on from when I was playing UK hardcore and freeform! I went to HTID Heaven & Hell in Feb 2008 and Summer Gathering 2008, both at the Custard Factory, and they were some of the biggest and best HTIDs I'd ever been to!

Club Kinetic resident and Next Generation Records boss DJ Brisk has been at the forefront of the hardcore scene since the very beginning. Releasing tracks on the mighty Kniteforce, Remix Records and Stormtrooper Records, he then began to showcase his remixing skills. Brisk's take on Jimmy J & Cru-L-T's popular happy hardcore anthem 'Six Days' set the bar high. His remixing ability then took off, creating some of the greatest remixes the scene has to offer. Labels such as Happy Trax, Impact Records and Just Another Label all wanted a piece and Brisk certainly delivered. Teaming up with Trixxy he then produced one of the most memorable happy hardcore records, the massive 'Eye Opener'. 

His live DJ sets were technically brilliant. Extremely energetic with long, on point mixes, he was always a fans favourite at the major events. DJ Brisk is another legend of the happy hardcore scene and firmly secures his place in the hardcore hall of fame.

The live sample I've used at the beginning is taken from his set at 'Helter Skelter - Discovery' 1/6/96.
