Darnel Alexander is an R&B vocalist, song writer and performing artist. His song writing and performance success have propelled his music maturity and vocal expertise to the next level; creating a strong solo presence in his home country of the United States and various international markets. He  began his music  career over 30 years ago, performing in talent shows and night clubs showcasing his amazing vocal abilities. He has honed his vocal skills into a timeless sound that only hard work and deep soul roots could create. Influences include Luther Vandross, Peabo Bryson, JOE, Brian Mcknight and many others. His first major works include working with Sir-Mix-A lot on the Seattle the Dark Side compilation with his former group 3rd level. His second major release was set in motion with the dynamic acapella R&B vocal quartette 2nd Nature. 2nd Nature released their 1st billboard 100 single “Can you show me” in 1995 and their video showcased on BET’s midnight love. Additionally 2nd Nature had the pleasure of gracing the classic sound stage of the mighty Apollo Theatre! Expanding his jazz wings, Darnel  has also collaborated on projects with Phillip Bailey of Earth Wind & Fire, Pamela Williams, Darren Motanedy and Tony Gable & The 206. He has performed with artistic powerhouses such as: James Brown, Mint Condition, Boys 2 Men, Patti Labelle, and Queen Latifa. Throughout this time Darnel has been recoding songs nationally for shows like So you think you can dance and nationally syndicated radio show host such as Delilah. Darnel’s timeless original music has also been featured on HBO’s Portlandia, Jackass presents Bad Grampa, Braxton Family Values, Love after lockup and Layover with the late Anthony Bourdaun.
