This music flows freely without following any predetermined structure or aiming at a 'tune,' entropic like action paintings of abstract expressionists. It resembles clouds, which constantly morph, transmute, rarely assume discernable shapes and are always on the move to nowhere/anywhere/everywhere. And like watching them, it may be surprisingly soothing when approached through headphones in the privacy of a relaxed evening half-slumber.

Minimal Inspirations: 4. Afloat

Used to be in his 20s back in the 1980s, but still looks around with a wonder of an alien who happened to land on a random planet and disbelievingly realizes he has actually grown to enjoy his emergency stay quite a bit. One longstanding wife, in her twenties forever, ditto daughter. Sweet undramatic life, intellectual entertainments, a writing job, a lot of silence around, occasional specks of music (preferably own) to sparingly smooth the rough edges of the day, good long night sleep - a recipe for a perfect yawn… or lifetime.
As for the music, which I call amorphous or emergent, look at the clouds: how they transmute; never repeat; flow, pass, spill shapelessly; don’t conform to predetermined patterns; always find a way to be on the move, careless and beyond grasp; transcend us and transport us to the worlds unsaid, unthinkable, unknowable, unforgettable.
On a less poetic note, the works are executed like action paintings of abstract expressionist painters of the 1950s and 60s, and so, instead of following a predetermined formal structure, these improvisations are let flow freely in the moment of creation.
