Releasing his soft, nostalgic debut album 'Foreground' (2022) the 7-track piece highlights the social and personal obstacles in life that are not often discussed. While in an attempt to present a raw, vulnerable, and clear image of underlying social issues in Foreground, Dahrel also showcases the beauty of being young and black while tapping into the feminine side of being male.

In hopes of normalizing controversial topics, he is a strong supporter of LGBTQ+, women's rights, and interracial equality, the St. Louis native singer aims to inspire and spread a wholesome message to the masses.
