Over the last two decades, Above & Beyond’s Anjunabeats label has launched the careers of some of the most respected names in electronic music: Andrew Bayer, ARTY, Audien, ilan Bluestone, Seven Lions and Mat Zo, to name just a few. In January 2021, the label launched Anjunabeats Rising: a new EP series highlighting the next generation of producers and championing emerging artists from around the world. 

Anjunabeats Rising introduced over 40 new acts to the label during 2021, including GVN, Alex Sonata & TheRio, Naz, Stephen Kirkwood, HRRTZ, Bexxie and more. Anjunabeats favourite Amy Wiles joins forces with rising talent Leena Punks on ‘Sweet Feeling’.

Amy Wiles started her DJ career at 16, and has played for us at Group Therapy 450, Tomorrowland, Creamfields, The Warehouse Project and at Anjunabeats club nights across London. She’s racked up over 1M streams on Spotify on her debut single, ‘Biding Time’, which was released in June 2021 as part of the Anjunabeats Rising series, and has remixed Above & Beyond, Kyau & Albert, Farius and gardenstate. 

This year, Amy dropped her remix of Tenth Planet’s ‘Ghosts’ with Boxer and supported Above & Beyond at iconic London venue Printworks. She’s set to follow that up with an appearance at Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy Weekender festivities at The Gorge on July 21-23, Anjunabeach Brighton, and more. Leena Punks made her Anjunabeats debut with ‘On The Floor’ as part of our Rising EP series last year. It became one of two Leena Punks tracks to feature as BBC Radio 1’s ‘Hottest Record’, earning support from MEDUZA, Gorgon City, MK and more. This year, Leena dropped a single on SUB-X Recordings, two singles on Material Music and remixed Le Youth’s ‘Chills’. 

Amy Wiles and Leena Punks make their collaborative debut with their latest release, ‘Sweet Feeling’. Alongside upcoming shows at Creamfields, EH1 Festival and more, don’t miss the pair performing b2b at Tomorrowland later this month.

A classically trained musician with an adept approach to creating high-octane dance productions, Tate has collaborated with the likes of Boy George and Above & Beyond’s Jono Grant over the past 20 years, also becoming a sought-after remixer and film composer.

Darren ‘DT8’ Tate is an award winning international record producer, composer and DJ born in London, England. As a classically trained musician versatile in piano, guitar, clarinet and orchestration, Darren has earned his reputation as one of Europe's leading producers, having worked with a wide range of international artists and writers. He is also one of the worlds most successful dance producers, having had huge international hits with the likes of Jurgen Vries, Angelic, Orion, Citizen Caned and DT8 Project. However closest to the hearts of millions of clubbers around the world are tracks such as “Echoes”, “When The Morning Comes”, “Let The Light Shine In” (with Above & Beyond’s Jono Grant) and most recently “Climb” as DT8 Project and “Timeless” as Darren Tate. In addition he has produced critically acclaimed albums such as “Perfect World” and the “Horizons” series.  

Darren in addition has many other recording production partnerships and pseudonyms in house music.  He produces under the name Funkysober with Boy George and Mark Vedo (who had the massive summer record “Sunshine Into My Life” on MN2S with Sharlene Hector).  He has recorded as “Tate & Diamond” (with Harry Diamond from My Digital Enemy) which so far has included two releases; “Turn It Back” on Defected Records / Azuli and “Electrified” on Anjunabeats. He also produces as 8 Ball and had the massive single “Beach Bodies” on Spinnin’ in 2017. He also records as Fish From Japan (with featured releases on Toolroom, Nurvous Records, Armada, Bunny Tiger and Misshapen). In 2018 Fish From Japan will be releasing “Fever” and “Perfect Storm” on Bunny Tiger and “Da Flute” (including a Robbie Rivera mix) on Juicy Music. As DT8 Project he will will be releasing “Pieces” with Carla Werner (Paul Oakenfold’s “Southern Sun” fame) on Armada Music, then in 2019 Leave It All Behind Vol 2 & 3 on Maelstrom Records, “Cycles” on Anjunabeats, and “Particles” on Mondo Records. In addition he has co-produced and orchestrated “The House and Garage Orchestra” on Newstate Records which features many legendary house and garage artists.

In addition Darren’s music has featured on video games, television and on advertising around the world and he has music directed west end musicals as well as recording with world class symphony orchestras (such as his award winning “Dark Skies” with the CNSO in 2009).  He has also won awards for film composition.
