I am speechless and still processing what happened that weekend 🙀 That was THE party of the year. I am happy and filled with emotions & good memories. I saw so many beautiful people and I’m lucky to call many of them my dear friends. It was non-stop fantastic music 🎶
Thanks to those who came out twice or 3 times or traveled from far away - you all made this event so special ♥️ Thanks to all the amazing artists who played outstanding sets 🙏🏼 I wish I could have listened and danced to all of you but it was physically impossible 🐱 Thank you to my Kater fam and the whole team for working non-stop until Tuesday afternoon 😅
It took a little longer to upload as I was on an emotional high, enjoying the after glow of my party 😍🐱
We all know the classic after an outstanding night - the recorder didn’t work, you forgot to press the record button, there were issues with the cables and so on... This happened to me quite a lot this summer which made me disappointed and sad that another good set wasn’t recorded 🙈 
Thanks to the Kater Blau technicians for finding time to cut such a long party into small pieces and uploading them for the artists 🙏🏼

Elliot Moriarty has been enamored with dance music from a very young age, gradually transitioning from DJing at local parties to global events like ADE. Undoubtedly, much of his rise can be attributed to his breezy productions on labels like The Soundgarden. Consider the 2023 release "By My Side” (Songuara), which reached number 1 on the Beatport Organic House chart. It's a light and effervescent tune, brimming with optimism. That energy is also bristling in ‘Balance’, a track he produced exclusively for this Balance Selections mix. I was thinking about all the long waits in line for Burning Man tickets over the years and decided to give some of you something to listen to while the walking person icon slowly makes its way across the screen holding all our hopes in its little tiny pixel hands. 

The wait time  is usually about as long as it took to get from one side of the playa to the other last year after it rained and the playa shrimp rose up to attempt to take over the world!! 

Burning Mud. Mudding man. Raining man. Remember the wild stories (all from the outside media or Diplo and Chris Rock) vs the kindness and generosity of strangers out on the playa. I hope, even if faced with adversity last year, maybe, just maybe, you also saw how wonderful people can be when called upon in a ‘crisis’. 

I was lucky enough to stay until Tuesday night and grateful to still get to play a sunrise on the Robot Heart albeit a few days later than planned. There was so much love in the air that (finally) beautiful morning. If you missed it or want to listen once more or are just bored and looking for something to distract you while waiting in line for this years tickets (I’ll be waiting too) then here’s burning man/mud/magic 2023.  Feel the love in the air and the tickle of playa shrimp on the soles of your feet.
