Agrio Tracks maiden release comes from everybody's favourite new producer Kyle Starkey. His tracks, blending signature 90's percussion with stabby rubber basslines, have been taking the house scene by storm recently. Being on high rotation in sets of artists like Job Jobse, THC and Jennifer Cardini has made it hard to have missed his tracks, even though you might not have known it at the time.

Storming the gates is Tryton, leaning heavily on sharp lead stabs that will be stuck in your brain like a true ear worm from way back then, creating the perfect glue between the worlds of house, trance and prog. However, while it does have a strong hint of nostalgia, you can't help but notice a distinct touch of freshness lying on top of it.

Whereas Tryton will please the peak time crowd, I Need U has the perfect filler features, while still making an impact on its own. The track subtlety balances old school vocal hooks and shouts with recognisable and simple synth melodies. If you are looking for the perfect assist to kickstart your night, this is it.

Next up, we welcome another debutant to the label, Wales-based DJ/Producer Dan Newman. Hailing from The Valleys, Dan has had an incredible 12 months, earning support from industry heavyweights such as Job Jobse, Sam Alfred, Paige Tomlinson, and Dusky—the latter releasing his standout "Rushing EP" on their label 17 Steps just last month. We're thrilled to have Dan on board with this sensational three-tracker, already a staple in top DJ sets for the half a year.

Dan Newman – Fear & Loathing In Amsterdam [TNT026]

What do you do when you can’t choose between three tracks artists send you? Well, you release all of them of course! Having the honour of breaking the “double” tradition on Agrio Tracks for the first time are Amsterdam’s house revelation NewTone. Coming off the back of a highly successful release with Dart’s Rapid Tracks, the Dutch duo stays steadily on course with a set of club & festival ready modern day prog-housers.

Next up is “Astrocyte”, referencing the star-shaped braincell that supports, connects and adapts. At its heart you will find a cheeky organ melody playing call-and-response with raw trance-like synth stabs. On top lie subtle vocal hooks and proggy gated synths, which are all lead towards a powerful and euphoric piano break by the deep rolling bass line, rewarding the listener (or dance floor) with the inevitable pay-off.
