BlackWater


I'm wading through BlackWater fighting for my life
There seems to be no way out of here no way forward no way back
Getting out alive the odds are stacked
Settle down now dont be afraid its just the rumble of the thunder
Ive dogged the bullets and kept my head down low
I dont want to die in this BlackWater.....

The trenches here are full of rain full of BlackWater
Gunfire cracks and nerves they snap pages from the good bool sail on by me
Twisted metal, blood and flesh there just lying in the grass
Finers tight hold a wooden cross theres prayers for the suffering the dying and the lost
Young men faced down in the BlackWater....

Theres a river here and if you stand by it long enough you'll see your enemies come a floating by
Theres little good air to breathe here your lungs they fight to try
Im remembering you so clearly now today I never caught your last words
I walked too soon away...

In the late afternoon the vultures fly they black out the sky
I cant find a good place in my memory to settle me by
I count the hours, seconds, minutes and the day's
And when I close my eyes to sleep I see young men faced down in the BlackWater...

"After being featured on BBC 6 Radio and the Ambient Focus show, Artificial Owl Recordings is excited to announce the 4th release and the return of One Of Them ( Niko Dalagelis )and his new work Excogitation.

Two extended ethereal and atmospheric ambient works created in the winter of 2023 aiming to provoke thought and spark imagination by exploring various sonic textures and tonalities.

The use of a randomized sequence triggering a SH-01A and a Digitone are the main ingredients here and the focus, to encourage the listener to turn inward, and engage with their thoughts, feelings, past and future.
Through the marriage of subtle tones, resonating frequencies, and carefully curated effects, both tracks aim to transport the listener on a serene sonic journey, fostering a harmonious connection between the mind and the music.

Inspired by unconventional thinking that stimulated the imagination of the coming spring and beyond.
"I tried to open a gateway to a state of blissful self-exploration. Through enchanting tones, soothing atmospheres, and contemplative nuances, this work acts as an auditory catalyst, fostering a connection between the listener's consciousness and the musical experience."
