So the story behind writing this remix, lol: I was eyeing this really sick looking Hondo guitar on Craigslist for 175 bucks, and I bugged the guy once a month asking to buy it for 60. The response I kept getting was "Nah, that's _not ok_." Three months passed, and no one bought it so he sold it to me for even less. Guess it's ok now.

Wrote this remix with that same guitar. This one's for you, my Craigslist dude.

Feeling extra emotional because I'm qualifying to be a Ph.D. candidate in less than 2 weeks and feeling especially inadequate and stressed.

I can't really explain the immense stress I'm feeling so I put it all into this one track. With everything that's going on in the world right now, I just wanted to get lost in music again, find some normalcy in life, and write something that can help take me away for just a small moment. I can't put everything into words right now, so hopefully this song will.

For every time you took a bullet for me - unnecessarily on League or very necessarily in real life - you really are the hero I don't deserve. And for that, I've name our first song "Hero".
