When we put out a positive creative side of ourselves we leave ourselves vulnerable to hiding our inner pain.  When you spend the majority of the time promoting oneself we sometimes forget that the love that has left us wanting and in distress can not be changed, so we must hide this from our peers.  This song demonstrates the inner pain that exists  simultaneously; hidden in the beauty of our creative heart and soul.   If a family member leaves or dies it is the same in the sense that we can not force them back, we can not convince them to love us, nor can we do anything except help ourselves and pray for their honest happiness with forgiveness.  Hear the pain from my inner child cry in every useless attempt to have its parent return and comfort my soul.  When you love someone who will not meet you for clousure or acceptance, a part of us dies.  I demonstrate my soul for you in my inner symphony "Everything that touches you" ...touches me. As the Spartan ships enter the harbor from the distant shores, the long horns bellow outward to warn of the approaching dangers that lie ahead.  This song symbolizes the beginning of a journey of my awaking into the journey of mid-life awareness. The Trilogy I - Shores Of The Titans

In my journey through life I began a quest for freedom, creativity and spiritual growth.  I wondered to unknown places to discover my deepest thoughts and feelings.  Life challenges us again in our mid-life;  to face ourselves again and begin the journey back to our infancy.  This song is about the awaking I experienced while discovering myself again, a child reborn, a child lost needing a new direction.  Years later I realized that it did not mean searching for new experiences, but rather relearning them in a much deeper and profound way.  The journey to death can become lonely until we eventually leave as we arrive alone, only "with our child within" to support and comfort us back into the unknown.  I cried out loud and felt free while driving to hike the Green Mountains the day after I finished this piece and heard it on my car stereo, beginning my new journey and leaving my past to die and layed to rest, forever more. When ever I went out to a club in my college days, the evenings begin passive and grew with intensity.  Almost to a frenzy, so you were yelling to communicate to your friends.  This song represents those moments in ambient and electric form of an evening in a small Rutland Vermont beer drinking establishment in the mid-1970's.

As the inner self continues to gather strength and direction, it speeds through the city of LA like a car chase filmed from a helicopter.  Interesting elements intertwine to make a mosaic of sound that eventually meets in a pinnacle of self discovery and rebirth.

The Huns were a group of nomadic people who first appeared in Europe from east of the Volga River, region of the earlier Scythians, with a migration intertwined with the Alans.  there is no scholarly consensus on a direct connection between the dominant element of the Xiongnu and that of the Huns.  Priscus mentions that the Huns had a language of their own; little of it has survived and its relationships have been the subject of debate for centuries. Numerous other languages were spoken within the Hun pax including Gothic (East Germanic), which was widely used as a lingua franca in the Hunnic territories.  Their main military technique was mounted archery.

The Huns may have stimulated the Great Migration, a contributing factor in the collapse of the western Roman Empire  They formed a unified empire under Attila the Hun, who died in 453; their empire broke up the next year. Their descendants, or successors with similar names, are recorded by neighbouring populations to the south, east, and west as having occupied parts of Eastern Europe and Central Asia approximately from the 4th century to the 6th century. Variants of the Hun name are recorded in the Caucasus until the early 8th century.
Now travel with the barbarians into battle as they move slowly fog ridden swamps to meet their conquest and devour their enemy with little to no remorse!

About Me: 

Born near Dartmouth College grew up playing numerous instruments and started many bands. Personally taught friends to play so I could create. I am a four thousand footer club member for VT, NH and ME and enjoy nature. I wrote my thesis on Audio verses Digital mixes and termed "The Sound Landscape in a 260 page thesis about the process through Excelsior College, Albany NY. I hold two BS degrees in Geology and Earth Space Science Education and a MALS degree in Experimental MUsic and Physics. The Positive Passion CD was a part of the creative process and final product of my findings.
